I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. I took two of my children to see dr grossman. I was told that I could not go in back with my girls. I was not ok with this but I was told that all children's dental offices have this policy. So I went ahead stayed in the waiting room. I was told i could see them via videos but they were always broken. Well my younger child had to have six baby root canals. well the day she had to have this procedure done she was only suppose to have 2 of the 6 teeth done that day. Well almost 4 hrs later she came out and I saw that she had a very swollen face And a busted lip. When I asked what the hell happened I was told that while they were putting her on the papus board to tie her down she fought with them and ended up hitting herself in the face. I was pist then I noticed that all her teeth were done. when I asked why they told me that it was because they didn't want to have to deal with her fighting them again. Well I would fight you too if you were tieing me down. I never took them back. My oldest told me that they were tied down every single time even for cleanings. And the only thing they liked about the place was the waiting room that had a big moose that talked. Dont take your children there

About Front Desk: The only reason I am giving two stars is because there was one lady there that was not only very sorry for what had happened she had a tear in her eye when she saw my daughter's lip and swollen face. She also called the next day to see how she was. I wish I could remember her name but this was years ago and the only reason I didn't do a review till now is because I heard about six months after my daughter went through this he was shut down. I guess that was false so here is my review.

All I can say is....DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!! First and foremost, my son who is 7, is a pretty tough kid. He rarely cries, or complains. We recently had a "cleaning"...which by the way, I sat in the waiting area for roughly 2 1/2 hours!! When my name was called over the intercom to meet my child at the door... I found my son, running out of the door screaming "mommy, mommy" he held my legs & arms down and took his clamp and shoved it in my mouth and it really hurt. He didn't care!! He told me to be quite and put his hand over my mouth. I couldn't breathe!! Mind you, as my son was yelling this, I noticed he had large red marks on his checks & forehead. It was obvious extreme pressure & force was causing these abrasions. I immediately, turned to the staff and said "this is suppose to be a pleasant experience for a child" what is going on in there? Is this why you don't allow parents behind the doors? I explained to them, that this was completely unacceptable and I will be writing a bad review & filing a complaint with the BBB. I will NEVER allow my son, to go through another horrible experience as he did with GROSSMAN. The name says it all. Dr. Grossman, you should be ashamed with yourself. If you can't stand children and are impatient you're in the WRONG business buddy. We are hopeful we will find a dentist who is kind, gentle & who will listen to a child when they say, "please stop, you're hurting me". My son, stated on the way home that "even the staff ladies, were apologizing that he was so rough with me" and that "everything will be ok". Dr. Grossman, when your OWN staff, apologizes on your behalf, doesn't that say something?? YOU NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

Dr. Grossman is the only dentist my son would let near him! When my oldest son needed some extractions for his orthodontia I was referred to Dr. Grossman. Chad loved him and we continued with Gold River Pediatric until he was an adult. When I had my second son, we were living in Elk Grove and we chose a dental chain for children, they were unsuccessful even cleaning his teeth x 3! I made him an appointment with Dr. Grossman and success. We have been back for all check ups and a filling! Thanks for taking care of my kids!

I started going to Dr. Grossman when I was 5 years old and have never had a bad or traumatizing experience with him or any of his staff. In fact now that I have two daughters, ages 2 and 4 I drive more than 40 minutes to his office, because I trust no other dentist with my daughters!!! I also have no issues waiting in the waiting room while my 4 year old has her teeth cleaned. I started taking her to Dr. Grossman when she was 6 months old and I was able to go in the exam room with her up until she turned 3. After a child turns 3 the staff explained to me that having the parent wait in the waiting room is because the doctor and the staff need to build a repoire with the child and gain that childs trust. If the parent is in the room the child may not listen to the doctor and will look to his or her parent rather than trust the doctor. I trust Dr. Grossman and would highly recommend him.

My 4 year old boy has been going to Wayne Grossman for a bit over a year. He has gone twice. They do not let you in the back with your child. My son is a well behaved boy and he brushes twice a day three minutes each time. This office told me he was too squirmy and they wanted to put him into restraints so they could work. Further, they recently told me he had 2 cavities. I pulled him out of their care, took him to a different dentist who confirmed my son has NO cavities at all the new dentist also mentioned my son was very easy to work with compared to most his age. You will receive multiple bills for the same visit that have no explanation of the charges or services. When I called for explanations, the responses were nothing short of rude. DON'T GO THERE!

We really like this dentist. Parents do not go in the back with their children, which some parents may find stressful, but we know that with our two children it's the only way. Our son is a 'wiggle-worm' and they give him 'laughing gas' to keep him a little calmer. I'm ok with this. I would recommend this dentist to anyone. We had a previous dentis

Dr. Grossman is wonderful with my kids! They actually look forward to seeing him. The office is very kid-friendly. He takes his time explaining to parents about their kids' teeth problems and what's going on with them. He is very caring and takes as much time as you need to understand everything. He's VERY gentle with the kids (I have 2). I think if they had pediatric dentists like him when I was a kid, no one would ever be afraid to go the dentist.
