If you need to see a Periodontist, I highly recommend Dr. Furuya & staff.
My insurance did not cover my treatments, only my consultation. I was given the option of payment plans (which is appreciated). Some places have a spa like feel or high tech gadgets/googles. I personally do not see the need for that.
I had gotten a deep cleaning on my gums & teeth. Thanks to them, my procedures and whole experience was a breeze. I felt cared for and taken care of. Even a follow up call by Dr. Furuya himself!
I was impressed from the initial consultation and my expectations were exceeded. Dr. Furuya took the time after taking a look at my teeth to sit down and talk to me in his office.
I really appreciated the way I was treated and all the information I received.
They made me feel at ease. I felt so comfortable there and not just another # on a file. Some places make you feel like cattle and you can sense you are just another $$ to add to their business.
Dr. Furuya & staff are sincere and have a nice family operated feel to their office. Here's hoping you don't have to see a specialist, but if you do, check them out!

i visited Dr Furuya and i like the explanations that he gave me about my surgery and my tooth, i did some resurch with other dentists and he was the one i choose because of his explanations and the price was reasonable. i like his office and the people who works there are very considerate.

Dr. Furuya is patient oriented, with follow-up calls after treatment. He is as gentle as dental surgery is possible to be. He is knowledgeable and gives options.
His office staff is the best. Helpful and friendly, and they provide near-exact price estimates. They handle all insurance billing.
I have used him for gum surgery and plan to use him for my implants in the near future.
