Very easy-going. Explains the procedure, asks often during the procedure if you are feeling OK, very friendly and makes the procedure seem to go by quickly and painlessly.
About Front Desk: Helpful and friendly. Made sure I had Prescriptions called to pharmacy two days before the procedure, easy to work with on scheduling and answered allmy questions.
About Hygienist: Great, friendly staff

I never saw Dr. Blume because when I called to make an appointment, Patty, the woman who answered the phone was very rude to me. She was not helpful and condescending. She was unwilling to answer my basic questions about the office. She had a very bad attitude and made me realize this was not the office where I wanted to be treated or spend my money. While Dr. Blume had been highly recommended by my dentist, I question his judgement if this is the type of person who he has representing his office. I know it is possible that he is not aware of her bad attitude but again I feel he should be on top of how his employees are treating his patients.

My initial visit was very nice, Dr Blume spent some time talking to me and explained in detail what the procedures would be. He was very desriptive in what the issues were, and how he and his staff were going to treat and repair the damage.
However, in the three subsequent visits, I never spoke to him at all. I was also called on two occasions to reschedule on the day of the appointment, once en route. In adition, I arrived at the office at my appointment time, only to find it was not in the system at all. That meant I was out my time plus the cost of getting there. Never was I offered a reimbursment for this.
The last straw was recently. I was told that the original cleaning procedure was needed again, but since my insurance already paid for one, they were not coving the second one. This was needed again since it was not done completely correctly the first time, as was later explained to me. So, I would be required to pay over $700 out of my own pocket, and they would not reduce the cost of the procedure.
I will find another periodontist, as I will not do business with someone who does not stand behind their work. I leave with the dissapointment that I had to find out this way.

Dr. Blume is awesome. He explained everything fully and made sure I was comfortable witht he procedure. I recommend Dr. Blume highly.

Wonderful manor, makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I have recommended him to my family and friends. Front office staff makes you feel welcomed. Hygienist always explain what is going on before they proceed.
