I found Dr. Milonas while here visiting my daughters back in 2008. I had a crown fail and had found a dentist in Norfolk. I was still having problems after seeing this dentist and was on an extended visit, so I found Dr Milonas near where my daughters live in VA Beach. I was not excited about another visit to a dentist but my tooth was killing me.
I was never so pleased! My crown was fixed. I got a courtesy call to see how I was doing. I have been going back to him ever since. I schedule my appointments to Dr. Milonas when I visit my daughters!
He has put veneers on my front teeth and made sure that they were done right. Crystal (assistant) was also great!
When you go to any Dr or Dentis it is not just the efficiency of the provider, but the office as a whole plays a role in whether or not I return. The staff at this office is just great and I have been known to be hard to please.
I truely do not make this recommendation lightly. If you are looking for a Dentist in VA, look no further!! I travel 12 hours to have Dr Milonas as my dentist at considerable ribbing from friends, family and co-workers. Who travels 830 miles to see a Dentist??? You will love this Dentist!!

Emergency visit, last year, was my first time seeing him. He put a temporary filling in, to hold me until I decided what avenue I wanted to take (all options were extremely expensive and I did not have dental insurance). Temporary filling fell out within a week. He did put another filling in, at no charge. Even though it's "temporary," it's supposed to last more than a week. Went back for a consultation to review my xrays and exact costs for treatments...of the 3 options, they ranged between $5,000 - $15,000...none were within my budget at the time. Dr. Milonis seems to be a good dentist, however, I will not be going back, as he does not do all the work. I would have had to become accustomed to another dentist (with charges above and beyond those mentioned above) to accomplish minimal cosmetic "fixes." His staff a year ago, was helpful and friendly. My experience today...I was asked how she could help me and was then put on hold in the middle of my sentence...and then again 3 times later within 2 minutes! It's 12:25 and "she" was supposed to go to lunch at 12! Needless to say, I did not feel as though my call my important to their business.
About Hygienist: The hygienist I had last year was very good. She was thorough, gentle and kind and went above and beyond explaining things to me. There was an incident, or two, however, where Dr. Milonas appeared to be very condescenting to her. She remained professional, in spite of these occurances.

Superb dentist; always caring and attentive. Slightly more expensive than other local dentists, but service and treatment is outstanding.. My son and I have been seeing Dr. Milonas for 20+ years with no problems.
About Hygienist: Again, Dr. Milonas' hygienists are always the best .

Dr. Milonas is one of the nicest, most caring individuals. He is definitely someone that I can trust. I have never been happier with a dentist. His staff is great-everyone is so friendly and thorough. The office is always clean and cheery.
