We all know and understand that mistakes can happen, it is how you handle it that will keep a lasting impression on your customers and bay point Dental group in Jacksonville, Fl failed miserably at that, and I am one who used to speak highly of them, but come to think of it that was when I was only getting periodic cleanings. I initially went in for a chipped tooth, they recommended a crown, the dentist that did it for me went a bit too close to the nerve so I ended up with an extremely sensitive crown (she did an exceptional job on shaping the crown), fine mistakes happen, so I keep going back for adjustments which Dr. Barker took over from what was the second adjustment trip I believe, it took about 4 or 5 so called adjustment trips of him grinding down on the crown telling me it's still touching even though I was telling him it wasn't, and when they finally gave up they sent me next door to get a root canal done (more out of pocket cost), so now I have a hole in my "new Crown" as well as been ground out of shape not to mention it's weaker now. So when time came to do the filling for my "New Crown" I had the audacity to ask for a new replacement crown, boy did they not like that, Dr. Barker proceeded to explain that it would be a bill on him and he can do the filling for free, and how it was my tooth that would break before that sorry excuse of a crown, so I let them do the filling and that hygienist could not show me the door fast enough, I actually asked her if she was kicking me out, Britney is her name, she was the one assisting the dentist who made the initial mistake. Now, I'm not a small courts kind of guy and besides how much will that cost, money comes and goes but customers tend to go and never come back. I don't go to dentists for friendships and wonderful staffs, I go for good and lasting work to be done when needed and that I did not get. So everyone... enter at your own risk.

About Front Desk: They're nice but seem to be afraid to relay unfavorable messages to Dr. Barker as if they're afraid of him like he has a temper or something

About Hygienist: Most are Professionals

Stopped going to Dr. Barker due to high costs and they are always trying to talk you into doing procedures that are not necessary to make more money.

Good prosthodontist. I have lot of experience in the the dental chair and with dentist. I think 90% of dentist are incompetent and greed driven. Upon moving to JAX I researched out every prosthodontist and 11 general dentist. I visited 3 prosthodontist and 2 general dentist to check them out. Dr. Barker is the pick of the litter and has done a good job (so far). He is way ahead of the others I interviewed. I think he is very intelligent and very capable in diagnosing problems. Rare commodities in the dental profession, intelligence and perception.. He also has good hand eye ablity. I have no financial or family ties to Dr.Barker.

Dr. Barker is fantastic. He's very personable, helping to relax his patients through humor and comraderie. He installed my crown, and it looks fantastic. The procedure was quick and painless. His hygienists seem very knowledgable and are similarly personable and gentle. I would recommend Dr. Barker to anyone.
