Dr. Okihara and his staff are professional, kind, and very knowledgable. Dr. Okihara takes the time to explain procedures and treatment options. My husband and I have been going to Dr.Okihara for about 2 years now and would recommend their service to friends and family. The only draw back is the limited parking space in the area. You might have to pay the meter for parking, but the staff is pretty good at monitoring your meter time and even helps put extra coins in the meter should your appointment run a bit longer than expected.

You get what you pay, so don't cheap out on your teeth. Best personal service imaginable.

Generally an expensive place to have work done, if you have great insurance, then this might be the place, otherwise, watch out, your wallet will empty fast. The dentist is very good as such, as a businessman he is not good at all. Can't seem to be able to keep staff, uses his patients to try out new hires all the time under the excuse that he's "trying to find the right people" to hire. So if you have money, don't mind being a quinie pig and visit an inferior staff - this place is for you.

Have seen Dr. Russ for 15 plus years. Great guy, and great friendly staff. Does very nice work, with TLC. A tad expensive, and office is tough to find parking.

Dr. Okihara and his staff are GREAT! While they may not be the least expenseive in San Diego, you get what you pay for. I am very happy with their work, professionalism, and care. The one thing I would like changed is that he is not open on Fridays or weekends forappointments.

Very high pressure -- wants to do a lot of work NOW, even if it may not be necessary (i.e., replace old but serviceable fillings). Seems more interested in making money than in meeting the patient's needs. Does not welcome patient feedback unless it is entirely positive. In summary: a competent dentist whose practice seems motivated entirely by a desire to make the maximum amount of money.
