I've had a "Maryland bridge" on a front incisor and 2 crowns on molars done by this dentist, and he does good work. I have never had good teeth and at 37 years old they aren't getting any better, but he's kept my mouth looking sharp. Willing to make sure you're numbed up properly before starting (That's key!) The person doing the insurance is as good and as knowledgeable as there is. She's up front to let you know what you're in for and the rest of the front desk staff is very friendly and personable. They've all been there for a long time. As far as chairside manner goes, both the dentist and the hygienists are very friendly and easy to get along with. I went 2 years once without being in to see them and they all remembered me. They have the ceiling-mounted TV's and a remote you can use to entertain yourself while they're doing their thing. The facilities are very clean and modern. A short list of "shortcomings" includes: does not do root canals, so you will have to be referred if you need one. Dr. Dukes also smokes, which seems odd for a dentist but he does wash his hands thoroughly before getting down to it. I think he ranks about average on overall costs.
