Dr. Lash was referred to me by my dentist in Albuquerque. I am afraid that I had the same problem as the other person. The root canal failed, Dr. Lash indicated it was tortuous and did not feel confident he had gotten to the bottom of the root canal, about one year later a dentist I saw surprised me when he said who did that root canal and was surprised it was performed by a endodentist. Needless to say I will have it redone. I was not angered by this but the first response from the dentist was anger and dismay at having gotten involved in my care to begin with as I received a direct response from him. I was not angry with him until I got that response as it is just a tooth but that has led me to believe that he just good at easy root canals and you would need to find a better endodentist for more complex canals.

About Front Desk: They are generally quite friendly.

I recommend seeing an endodontist if you need a root canal -- and I highly recommend Dr. Lash if you do! He is a true professional. I can't speak to his surgical skills, but he is a great diagnostician and an honest businessman. Instead of spending money on a glamorous lobby, he and his partners have invested in state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment. Dr. Lash was able to determine that I didn't even need a root canal! He could have treated me anyway (I would have been none the wiser), but he didn't. I'm sure he could have charged more for the type of diagnostics he used for me, but he didn't. His estimated cost for the root canal was exactly the same that my regular dentist was going to charge -- but of course I didn't have to pay that since I didn't need treatment. He constantly showed me his findings, explained his reasons for what he wanted to do next, and answered my questions. I didn't think people like this were still around today! The hundreds I spent saved me thousands! His front and back staff were very friendly and very attentive; they made sure I was comfortable and that I knew what was going on every step of the way. Would I recommend this endodondist to others? In a heartbeat!

About Front Desk: The front staff were very friendly and helpful. They were quick to let me know that Dr. Lash didn't work directly my insurance company (no one in town seems to). I wasn't concerned but they immediately contacted my insurance company to check on the percentage of coverage for me. My own dentist office doesn't even do this when I ask them to -- and my dentist accepts my insurance!

Having had one root canal in my 20's and rembering it as quite painful, I was frightened when told I needed another. I guess times changed! Two root canals were done quickly and very competently. The Dr. had a sense of humor, and conversed with me. Front office was efficient. Treatment was effective.

Dr. Lash did a root canal on a molar approximately 7 years ago. I have since moved to another city. Recently, the same molar bagan hurting and I was advised by my dentist to see an endodontist . The endodontist in my new home city found that the roots were not completely removed. Two roots remain. I will have to have a second root canal and a new crown put on the tooth at great expense and with considerable discomfort. Dr. Lash never told me that he did not remove the root completely. Both my dentists and my new endodontist said that he should have explained this to me and that either the canal was "tortuous" and hard to get into or there was a lack of skill. The new endodontist does not expect to have any problem getting into the bottom of the root canal so I conclude the problem was the latter.

Dr. Lash did a re-root canal on a back molar that had to be saved in order to fit me with a bridge. He was very professional, quick and painless. He talks like Woody Allen. Would recommend him to anyone needing this type of treatment.
