I went into Dr. Southard's office to have a root canal after a permanent crown, she is one RAD dentist. I went in with pain and came out in pain but only for a few days.HAHA..what do I expect after all the hard work she put in to fix my stubborn tooth, well the nerve was stubborn I guess because it gave us a run for my money, she had to numb me numerous times(didn't flinch) during the procedure, I think they felt sorry for me due to all the numbing but I felt sorry for her that she had to keep stopping, they wanted me to be comfortable and that I was during the whole procedure...What a HOT tooth I had(her office knows) I never thought I would say this but, I had a ball at the dentist today!!!! Thanks Dr. Laurie Southard and Staff. Pineapples you are!!!

About Front Desk: Very prompt and courteous. I will go back if I ever need to, it was as if I've known them for years.

My experience was excellent. She recommended an extraction, not a root canal which was the proper action. Her staff made all the arrangements for me to have the extraction as well as needed prescriptions. I highly recommend Dr. Southard and her staff.

About Front Desk: Very helpful with an excellent manner in handling my questions.

Dr. Southard was wonderful she took her time with me and was very gentle. My root canal was pain free! I had gone to another Endodontist and he kept leaving me through out my treatment. Dr. Southard stayed in the room with me the entire time. Made me feel very comfortable and pain free!

About Front Desk: Awesome and worked me in the same day. Very cheerful and helpful with my insurance.

Oh my gosh! this dr is so good! i went for a re-treatment of a root canal and i have latex allergies. she took that very serious. It was comforting to know that she and her staff took my allergy serious. Any one else out there with latex allergies and you need an endodontist, i recommend her top notch.

I had a root canal at this office. They do not accept checks only cash or credit card. My regular dentist told me this. I took $1,070 cash. I did not receive a receipt. This was my fault for not asking for one but I was very nervous. I filled out the paper work for insurance. I assumed (stupid me) that they would file on the insurance and the insurance would reimburse me. This was my experience with my dentist in Florida. I received a call today from the office stating I owed an additional $393.40 because I had paid them only $500. I told them, "no I had paid at least $1,000" She argued with me that I had only paid $500. I didn't have a receipt so I told her to send me the bill. I then called back to tell her I saw in my check book where I had withdrawn $1,200 and a notation "for the dentist". She said "oh yes you paid $1,070. but only $500 had gone to the endodontist. The rest was because I had received IV sedation. This was not explained to me at the time of service. If it had, I would have had no problem with the cost. I do have a problem with the office staff essentially calling me a liar and with no explanation as to what I was paying for with the $1,070 cash I gave to the office. They had my address wrong.

Dr. Southard is so good that I went to her even though she wasn't on my plan. I'm now going back for a 2nd root canal. It may cost me more out of pocket since she's not on my insurance, but let me tell you it's worth it to have a dental treatment that doesn't leave me wishing I never had to see a dentist again. I can't say a root canal (or re-treatment, as I did last time) is a pleasant experience, but I can say it was much better at Dr. Southard's than anywhere else I've ever been.
