Dr. Griffiths has taken good care of us and our teeth since we moved to Portland. He cares about your comfort as well as the health of your teeth and gums. Thoughtful, polite...briefly, caring. I have recommended him highly to others.

He is our family dentist and we are really happy with him. But we are going to change as he is not in delta dental PPO.

Dr. Griffiths is one of the best dentists I have ever used. He is pain-free and he has a very reassuring manner. His hygienists are also excellent, and friendly too. His facilities are up-to-date.
I have had Dr. Griffiths put in 2 or 3 crowns. His expertise is really unsurpassed. I have had other dentists put in crowns, and they didn't do nearly as good work as Dr Griffiths.
Even though I live in SE Portland, I wouldn't go to any other dentist, and I have recommended him to friends who are now his patients also.

Professional, knowledgeable, kind, gentle, caring. He will never drill into a tooth unless absolutely necessary as he told me years ago that once you do that you lose the integrity of the tooth forever. I have had veneers on four top front teeth done by him twice. The first set lasted over 13 years and looked perfect. The second set is going on 3 years now and no issues. He explains everything to you that he is going to do, so no surprises. I would recommend him and his staff highly. I hate the thought of him ever retiring! His office staff is wonderful, discreet and caring.
About Hygienist: I have been to two of the hygienests in his office and both were very thorough and gentle: Gerry (a woman) was one of them.

There are very few health care providers whom I trust completely with my care. Dr. Griffiths and his staff all have my complete trust and praise for terrific dental care. I recommend him to everyone!
The comment regarding pain and anxiety is not due to anything specific to Dr. Griffith's care as he is very gentle. I just find dental work to be very stressful and he makes sure I get the best care for a stressful procedure. Still, I could never call any dental procedure "relaxing".
About Hygienist: All of Dr. Griffith's staff are terrific! Jenny, Karen and the others all deserve a big thank you for their focus on overall care and comfort.

Over the years I've had crowns, fillings, a root canal and a night guard from this dentist. Our family's genetically less than desirable teeth have given him lots of opportunity for experience over the years and he's done wonderfully. This is the Michelangelo of dentists. He's an artist and a gentleman. He is always knowledgeable about the latest and best treatments. He wants it to be just right. He cares.

I trust Dr. Griffiths above all dentists I have seen. Because my insurance doesn't cover him, I've tried other guys, and I repeatedly find it worth the money to pay extra and see him. He is TOTALLY painless and gentle. He is easy to talk do. He explains your options and his recommendations well. His work is great -- he really tries to preserve as much of your natural teeth as possible.
Once I had an evaluation from a dentist who said I needed thousands of dollars of work done to my teeth, including a crown and wisdom teeth removal. I saw Dr. Griffiths for a second opinion. He was able to fix the tooth without doing a crown and advised that I didn't need to remove the wisdom teeth right away if I didn't want to, and they may not be an issue.
I have another friend who also got a second opinion from him and saved herself hundreds of dollars of work -- he discovered she only needed an existing filling ground down properly, and that corrected almost all the other problems the other dentist was going to charge her to fix.
He is a little spendy, but as I've said, I've found him worth it.
Getting in is harder than I'd like. And (I imagine because they aren't hurting for clients) I find the staff a little brusque at times.
