He is a great dentist and a great person. He is also wise, since he hired a great staff. Best dentist in Texas. The rating system on this site would not let me choose "4" for extremely cheap. His staff is awesome at being assertive with insurances and creating plans that will help me save money. Alicia

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DR. BUCK TO ANYONE I KNOW! I am not certain of his technical abilities but did not appreciate his professional attitude at ALL. I walked in for my first visit to him with perfectly good teeth, was complimented during my cleaning that they were in good condition. He chipped one of my veneers with his tool, said he would fixed it, only to find out on my way out I had been charged for it! I called him later to confirm this was a mistake, he got all defensive, suddenly changed his story that my teeth had all sorts of issues and that the veneer (which he strangely kept calling a filling!!!!, you'd think he'd know the difference) was decaying and needed to be fixed. He then said I was being unprofessional and that he did not need my business. BESIDES BEING RUDE, I THINK IT IS ETHICALLY IMMORAL TO CHARGE SOMEONE FOR A PROBLEM THEY DID NOT HAVE WHEN THEY WALKED IN THE DOOR, NOT INFORM THEM THEY ARE BEING CHARGED! Suspiciously, he makes his new patients sign a release form allowing him to perform ANY WORK on them....???? Would you trust a dentist you have never met before to do anything to your teeth? I certainly wouldn't and didn't.

About Hygienist: Amy was very friendly, polite and delicate while doing my cleaning. She is detailed and gentle. I did not feel any harsh scraping or pulling as I sometimes do.

Dr. Buck and his staff are professional, friendly, efficient and thorough. My wife is a former dental assistant and we are very pleased with the practices, care, and treatment we recieve on every visit. I would certainly recommend Dr. Buck and his entire staff.

The dentist office did not reveal that it was no longer participating on my insurance plan! I eventually figured it out when looking at the bills. The dental experience was good, but I was not pleased with the lack of communication on this important topic.

About Hygienist: Thorough cleaning. Good instructions and motivation to clean better.

Dr. Buck placed two implants in my mouth about four years ago, and it continues to be the most traumatic experience of my life. I wanted him to extract just one damaged baby tooth -- but he took out TWO! Then the process of the implants was excruciating because he and his assistant were so unprofessional. The assistant took a cell phone call while they were placing one of my implants. Geez, you'd figure they'd be more focused when they are screwing a metal rod into your jaw! Looking back, I can't believe I just didn't up and leave for another dentist. But I guess that's the beauty of learning from your mistakes. Dr. Buck placed one of the implants much too close to one of the teeth next to it, leaving too much space on the other side. Subsequently, I had all sorts of problems with the crown that was placed on it. (Dr. Buck did the crowns, too.) One crown was slightly misshapen, enough to give me TMJ and thousands of dollars of dental and doctor visits. The implants, too, ended up failing and one needed to be replaced. BEWARE! His costs may be lower than other dentists, but the quality is commensurate.

Monty is a true Dental expert with the most professional service I have ever experienced. He was able to save a tooth that two other dentists did not know how to approach. I have tried other dentists but none of them measure up to DR Monty Buck. He has extensive training and holds many pantents in dental work. He has patients come from Europe to seek out his excelent service. Some reviews may indicate he is a little too expensive, well you get what you pay for. If you are only looking for price then most other general dentist will satisfy your needs, but if you want long lasting expert dental work then DR Monty Buck is the dentists you should use. There is no half way service from his office, nothing but quality painless dental work. Thanks Monty for 25 years of excellent service. HRM

About Hygienist: Very qualified and professional. They get the work completed in as short of time possible but no corners are cut to your quality care.

I had no problem with the dentist himself, my problem came from the office staff. I was charged upwards of $4000 for dental services I had never received. I was never shown a treatment plan or a breakdown of fees, and I had not scheduled an appointment to have the services done. They charged my financing company without my permission, and I was then obligated to pay the monthly payments and interest or my credit would be ruined. It took months to get this issue taken care of. The first person I dealt with in financing apparently was fired. She was the first person to tell me she would take care of this. After it wasn't taken care of (because she was fired), I had to call again and inquire about the status of the refund. I was then turned over to a male dental assistant who compared my situation to his own recent purchase of an engagement ring for his fiance. After arguing my point with him, he assured me the situation would be taken care of right away. When it wasn't, I was turned over to another person who did not return my calls when she would specifically tell me she would call me right back. She finally made things right when I personally showed up in the office unannounced, and said I would wait until something was done.
