I would not recommend Dr. Peleaux. My initial consultation went well at Oral Surgeons of Charlotte, so I kept my scheduled appointment to have my only 2 partially impacted wisdom teeth removed surgically on November 13, 2015. During the consultation, Dr. Ramon Peleaux was extremely nice and talkative and made me feel very comfortable (WARNING; IT WAS SHOW JUST TO GET ME IN THE DOOR). . I would describe him as a MONSTER with NO BEDSIDE MANNER OR RESPECT FOR OTHERS! While he was working in my mouth, I threw my hands up in the air because of the pain he caused by touching the sore area. I DID NOT TOUCH HIM, but apparently I struck a nerve in him. He YELLED at me (a 34-year-old woman) “PUT YOUR HANDS DOWN AND DO NOT PUT THEM BACK UP”. Tears came to my eyes immediately, and I couldn’t stop crying. Not because of the pain, but because of how EXTEMELY RUDE he was to me. He also said “you should have come back yesterday, like I said”. WHAT A RUTHLESS JERK!! HIS ENTIRE DEMEANOR CHANGED, AND HE SHOWED ME THAT HE IS REALLY A PERSON WHO DOESN’T CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. What he cares about is the money in his pocket, and with me having to go back 4 days after the surgery, he was not making any more money from me.

About Front Desk: Front desk staff was nice, but working for a very mean doctor.

I had a difficult extraction of a molar which broke below the gum. Dr. Peleaux removed the tooth in sections under local anesthesia only and I felt no pain, had no post surgical problems and healed very quickly. I believe that Dr. Raymon Peleaux is the most qualified and caring oral surgeon I have had experience with both as a patient and as a health care provider, hearing of my patients' treatments under his care. I recommend him above all others and would send my family and loved ones to him, not just my patients.

About Front Desk: Excellent and accommodating.

Peleaux was polite before my procedure but was completely rude and vauge when asked questions about some issues I was having after the surgery as if once he made the money he did not want to be bothered with any follow up issues. He was so rude to my wife when she asked a simple question she completely went silent as it bothered her very much to have a so called professional act so unprofessional. My main concern and biggest issue is when I came in for a third time with a sharp bone that was growing and causing me discomfort on my gum area. I went to my dentist first to look at the area since Peleaux was so rude previously . My dentist called his office to set up having Peleaux to cut the gum and smooth the bone. My great dentist stated that this was a very simple one incision 15 minute procedure that Peleaux could do since he did the wisdom teeth extraction. This was not the case, when I got there Peleaux did not want to do anything or guide me in the right direction he just said you tell me what you want me to do like I'm a surgeon. I told him it was painfull and I wanted the bone smoothed like my dentist recommended. This is how it went, he used the needle very fast and painfull, then he cut me without being numb and when I was numb he butchered my gum area which looked like he used a chainsaw during the procedure. Once the numbness wore off it was very painfull and swollen so I went back to my dentist who's jaw dropped when he saw the area that was worked on. I'm now on pain meds and antibiotics for this simple procedure and I can barely eat thanks to Peleauxs poor work ethic and unprofessional ism . On a side note who yells at there staff in front of a patient? I will never go back or recommend anyone to him and neither will my dentist.

About Front Desk: The staff was great and I feel sorry that they work with such an unprofessional so called surgeon.

Complex extraction while numb not asleep. No pain, minimal swelling, very quick recovery! I have no dental insurance. Dr. Peleaux is a doctor and an oral surgeon and extremely competent. Excellent care - he met with me before the extraction and discussed treatment options. No surprises for me, but the procedure was more involved once he started. He completed the extraction despite the difficulty with no problems. I highly recommend Dr. Peleaux for any type of oral surgery or implants because he is experienced, well trained and very gentle.

This review is not going to be positive. I had a bilateral sagital split 4 years ago and still have problems. You can go to my blog for all the details. http://retrospectful.blogspot.com/2010/03/my-jaw-surgery-and-dr-ramon-peleux.html
