Be careful of Dr. Weaver. He initially seems to be nice but over time you start to realize that he cares nothing for his patients and his only motive is taking the your money. He sells you everything from TMJ appliances and then puts you into braces. Sadly the treatment outcome came out poorly and I ended up taking my daughter to Dr. Matt Linaker for further orthodontic treatment after the terrible job Weaver did.

About Front Desk: They can be quite rude at times.

I started seeing Dr. Weaver in 1999 for TMJ. The treatment success depends on how much money you can afford to pay. My treatment turned out to cost around $3400. When I fell behind on pymts, however my treatment was suspended. This is why I feel my TMJ still exists today. I've been put in $2500 braces, and given a $900 splint that won't be maintained since I owe Dr. Weaver $200.The staff is very aggressive and intimidating about collecting payments. I've been strung along for 11yrs+ hearing excuses for my stiff neck, sore temple, and acheing jaw joints, while believing I was being helped. After putting all this time & money into this dr.,I thought I should stick with him to get better. I guess I was way to trusting of this Dr. whom I thought cared about his patients. Turns out he just cares about flat screen TV's and vacations. I would NOT recommend this orthodontist to others.

At first it appeared Dr. JAW (James A Weaver) knew what he was doing. He was very friendly... maybe a bit too friendly with my mom. He shared his knowledge and made me feel at home. That slowly dwindled away. After the second year apointments started drawing further apart and he seemed too buisy for any communication beyond niceties. The man tried electrosurgury to get to a tooth deep in the bottom of my mouth not one not two, but three times before sending me to a real surgeon where the process was completed in not ten minutes. Anyway... its been 5 years now. Dr. Weaver blames that on stubborn teeth, but I blame it on him. Indeed, he doesn't make money on the quality or speed of the process, he makes money on how many contracts get signed, how many customers he has. Five years is just ridiculous. Bad service, bad scheduling, poor quality, bad orthodontics: James A Weaver.

Dr. Weaver is obviously expert, capable, and upbeat. The main problem is that he is very much overbooked now and gives extremely little individual attention to patients. He has a team of trainees who do the work in a large room. In theory, he checks their work and instructs them. But he sometimes is in a rush and spends a total of 5 seconds with a patient, or sometimes does not look at all. The result is suboptimal decisions that extend the treatment period. If an appointment must be changed, the schedule is so full that it cannot be rescheduled for a very long time, even if the reschedule is done almost immediately (ie 6 weeks in advance). Again this prolongs the treatment. His waiting room is crammed, so people are constantly bumping into one another. And waits can be long. An hour (or more!) there, with kids screaming and a pop radio station station blaring, is enough to ruin a day. The staff are not helpful; they just enforce the rules. They could care less if a kid has to miss school, has a broken wire poking them in the mouth etc. Again, this probably reflects too heavy a patient load. In the end, Dr. Weaver will do a good job and (I think) the price is good.

I have four daughters seeing Dr. Weaver. He's extremely professional, and definitely knows his stuff! I like the fact that he's concerned about what would be in the best interest of his patients! Everyone likes their visits, the staff is highly qualified. We personally know many other patients whose work is in progress, or has been completed through the services of Dr. JAW. We haven't found any complaints or bad results. The billing arrangements are very straight forward. Another ortho. in town was way over the charges I pay here. I like the fact that my children could get in promptly to start their treatments. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been very impressed with the level of expertise from all employees and technicians at Dr. Weaver's office. I appreciate the friendliness of the atmosphere and Dr. Weaver coming around to check on his patients, he is always smiling and friendly. The payment arrangements were very clear and upfront. You get what you pay for in treatment, and I believe my daughter is getting excellent care. Some may say I am paying too much, but I don't happen to believe that for the level of care my daughter is receiving. Thank you to the entire staff of Dr. JAW
