First I would like to start this review of Dr. Koos Piney Point Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice by mentioning my history. I have SEVERE PTSD towards needles and any drugs that make me feel ‘out of body’. When I was in Milford Hospital in Massachusetts, they screwed up a simple IV insertion so bad that it took them over 17 tries to get a needle into a vein. When I say severe PTSD, I mean SEVERE panic. I mean shaking, hyperventilating, sobbing, and terror. I have been to many doctors and many hospitals (unfortunately) since my first experience in MA that gave me PTSD. And not one doctor or nurse has made me feel respected and comfortable like Dr.Koo and his team have. I didn’t feel like a burden, like they were rushing me, or like they were bothered by me. They constantly treated my anxiety with understanding and though I could go on for hours about how amazing they were, the short of it is- Wow. I couldn’t have asked for more from them, and I certainly didn’t expect the care and respect they had for me. My past experience with doctors, needles, and visits to hospitals has scarred me, but because of the way Dr. Koo and his team helped me I believe I’m on the road to recovery from my PTSD. Thank you, a million times over
