Dr. Griffin is wonderful. But Liz, the person who does his billing (that's using the term loosely), is incompetent and rude. She can't process insurance claims correctly, she doesn't use a database to track payments electronically, she appears to do everything by hand, and she sends out bills that are incomprehensible, poorly Xeroxed, with whiteout all over them, and that you can't use to determine how much you've owed or paid or how much insurance has paid. She is impossible to deal with, and we have spent far more hours on the phone with her trying to get billing figured out than our child spent getting braces on and adjusted. Unless/until they get a new billing person who uses a system that wasn't last updated in 1970, stay away.

Dr. Griffin is genuinely honest and does not seem interested in providing unnecessary treatment - extremely refreshing when many orthodontists are committed to two terms of treatments. I went in looking for Invisilign. He gave me three options: get a retainer to stop my teeth from moving, do Invisilign (though he warned me I might not get the results I wanted) or traditional bands. In the end it was my choice based on what results I wanted. He's direct, efficient, and clearly enjoys what he does. Facilities are a bit dated but clean and I'd exchange lower treatment costs for a spa-like environment any day.

Dr. Griffin is fantastic, and both of my kids are almost out of their braces, and like him as well. We have a friend who is an orthodontist in another city, and has complimented the work Dr. G has done for us, and agrees with his course of treatment.

Dr. Griffith did my ortho way back in 1974. Everyday I look at my teeth and think of his great work.

Very personable and funny guy. He wants what is best for you and will not try to purswade you in a more expensive direction. He is a very funny man who is committed to his job and patients.

Great service, helpful staff. Both my kids teeth are looking great. He is letting me pay on account with no interest charges. We couldn't be more satisfied!

Never has time to meet to discuss treatment, does a poor job, gives false information regarding treatment completion. Scheduling of appointments seems to often be too infrequent. For the job done, the cost is too expensive. I highly recommend seeing a different orthodontist in the San Rafael area. It seems as though the treatment is being dragged out as if to extract more money. He will lie about the treatment in order to keep you happy.

Dr. Griffin and his staff are very professional and talented. Do not hesitate to go there as you will find none better and the cost is reasonable. (I would have given higher marks for facilities but let's be serious. Do you really expect an orthodontist's office to be like a health spa...?)

There is no better orthodontist in Marin County than Dr. Robert Griffin. His work is flawless. Not only is he extremely professional, but he is kind, gentle, and considerate...all the qualities you want in a man who's got your mouth full of drills and metal!
