Great Honest Dentist. Will not do work you don't need. Hygienist very gentle.

During my first visit there, I wasn't made to feel comfortable during my cleaning. It seemed as if Dr. Tin and her assistant were more interested in talking about family matters than trying to make me feel at ease while in the patient's chair. When I had asked my daughter about her own experience there, she went through the same thing and noticed the talking between the dentist and assistant. She too wasn't comfortable in the patient's chair. To add to that, the person at the front desk wasn't friendly at all. We never went back afterwards.

I first went to Dr. Tin for a routine check-up/ cleaning 8 months ago and recently went for another check up/ cleaning. Both times, I felt the cleaning was not done as througly as I received at my other dentist's office. This time, I was informed that I have a few cavities which I was not informed 3 months ago at the other dentist's office. Dr. Tin did not show me exactly where the cavities are. She just told me to make another appointment for the fillings and left the room. I also felt Dr'. Tin's constant chatting with her staff makes me feel uncomfortable. It makes me wonder if she is paying attention on my teeth.
About Hygienist: The hygienist was nice and friendly, but she only polished my teeth without any further cleaning as I would receive at the other dentist's office.

Appointments tend to be rather lengthy even when there are few other patients. Procedures sometimes have to be repeated. There seems to be a lot of staff turnover.

Dr. Tin made 2 big mistakes and did not appologized. She gave me mercury fillings instead of the porcelain ones I wanted and told her so the visit before. I told her i didn like the silver color on my teeth so when i went the next week I had my filling done and then I realized they were not the white ones. Also that same day , my tooth was chipped by her and she later told me I had done it. How can I have done it when I realized my tooth was chipped right after I left her and before I have had anything to eat. Also the person that did the cleaning was very rough and it was very painful. Never had I've been concern with a dentist visit before but now I am because oft the pain I experience at her office. Its been 3 years and I haven t had my others fillings she was supposed to have done because of the fear of pain.

Dr. Tin from Eastlake Dentistry on 2400 Fenton St, Chula Vista Ca 91913 didn't have the greatest bedside manner and her dental assistant was rough with the xray plates and hurt me when she was deep cleaning my teeth, she was on my gums and lips half the time. I wasn't given a treatment plan or any information in regards to the cavities they told me i had.

Dr Tin, is a nice lady, but she has no concept dr/patient relationships. She chooses to carry on conversations with her nurses rather than with her patients. Although I complained of having pain several times, she paid little or no attention to my concerns. I think she has choosen the wrong profession to be in. Her focus is clearly not all together there when she's with a patient.
