Dr. Zimmer did not plan for any growth in my mouth even though I got braces in 6th grade. She gave me rubber bands when I did not need them and because I grew (which she didn't plan for), my bite is horrible. I am now a senior in high school and have discomfort in my bite every single day.
A couple years after I got my braces off I confronted her about my bite and she pressed really hard against my bottom jaw to the point where I was in pain and told me to bite down. When I did, she told me that that was my natural bite.. even though I could not do it with out pain and without her pressing hard against my jaw to force into that position.
I highly recommend looking else where for orthodontic help.
