Dr Safirstein is fantastic. He is exceptional about walking kids and their parents through the process of orthodontia. He takes his time explaining the procedures, timeframe and expected outcomes. 2 of my 3 kids had mild hiccups in their treatment. My youngest needed bonding before her braces and my son's jaw grew several millimeters in short time span, necessitating some changes and lengthening of his treatment. Dr Joe was great at explaining all of this to me and my kids. All 3 of my kids' teeth look great and all 3 of my kids are great about flossing, brushing and wearing their retainers - all due to Dr Joe's and his staff's care.
About Front Desk: Debbie is exceptional. Thoughtful, kind, patient and great at scheduling. Dr Joe's office realize his patients are students and they are great at having most appts happen early morning or after school.

i had terrible braces and i was supost to have my teeth pulled out but dr. joe thought that i didnt have to so he just put spacers in the breaces and im about to get my braces off in january.

He is an amazing orthodontist!! His office is friendly and staffs are great!! They will work around your schedule. I've been there for the past two years and it's been a pleasure.

Very Professional. Doesn't try and make the hard sell. HIs staff is very knowlegable, but sometimes are not the swiftest in getting back to you after a question over the phone.

My daughter just finished her orthodontic treatment with Dr. Joe. Her smile is beautiful and we are so happy and excited about how great she looks. Dr. Joe and his staff are fun and energetic. We strongly recommend his office

I can't believe that someone wrote that Dr. Joe has no people skills. What I appreciated most about my experience with his office is that he was very straight forward and knowledgable. He really explained each thing that was happening and gave me options along the way. He also really enjoys what he does, you can tell. It's just fun to be in that office sometimes.

I'm an adult who saw Dr. Joe for braces to correct a bite problem. Dr. Joe is competent and friendly. He's very straight about what ortho treatment can and cannot accomplish, which I appreciated. We tried one method (Invisalign) and long after I had lost patience with the method, Dr. Joe was still trying to make it work. I wasn't entirely happy with that, especially since Invisalign is more expensive than standard brackets. Ultimately, I ended up with brackets at no extra expense and they did the job. I have some tooth chipping I didn't have before; my gums don't look that healthy after the move and I'm not sure my bolted-in retainer was the best idea for my lower teeth. I know if I asked Dr. Joe to try something else, he would. His staff is friendly, but I wouldn't call any of them overly warm and fuzzy. They get the job done efficiently. Getting braces is uncomfortable, painful, time-consuming. Dr. Joe let me know what to expect and was responsive by email. I like him. I'd recommend him.
