Dr. Paul Kamen performed crown lengthening on 3 of my teeth. One of the teeth began to abscess not long after the procedure. It was recommended that I have a second root canal on the abscessing tooth.
However the tooth continued to abscess. After a few months of this, something hard finally came out of the abscess. After several more bouts of antibiotics, I continue to have a bone infection the same tooth, since Dr. Kamen performed the bone surgery. I have to loose the tooth. Every dentist I have seen subsequently has said the crown-lengthening procedure was insufficient, and needed to be repeated. However, Dr. Kamen had nothing to say about my bone infection, and his response was to list the prosthetics and missing teeth in my mouth and call it an "evaluation" (for what I don't know) and charge me an additional $185.00, and suggest I schedule an appointment to extract the tooth.
