I had bleeding gums whenever I brushed and with flossing sometimes. Dr. Sushner determined where the problem was coming from and treated the area. In addition, he found other areas my previous dentist had missed.
My mouth is now healthy and my gums never bleed anymore. Also, the frequent sensitivity I had has also disappeared.
Being as I have coronary artery disease my gum treatments have improved my overall health. I am forever grateful to Dr. Sushner and his staff for the great work and understanding, compassionate and professional manner they treat their patients with.

Beware – it is not Dr. Sushner’s poor bedside manner nor the aggressive behavior he exhibited when I asked questions about his practices and interest in waiving a small outstanding balance that drives me to provide this review. Nor was his lack of truthfulness or his dismissal of me as a patient right after I informed him he was no longer my periodontist. It was that Dr. Sushner had what he described as a periodontal “plan” for me. A “plan” he didn’t inform me about timely. He performed one surgical procedure of that plan which I view as unnecessary. Three other dental practitioners clearly confirmed my view. Beware.

Both my wife and I had advanced gum disease when we first saw Dr. Sushner. He treated my wife first and then I felt obliged to proceed with my own treatment. We had minimal dental care when we arrived in this country from Nairobi. Dr Sushner has treated each of us successfully and we didn't loose any teeth, even though my wife had three teeth that were uncertain.
He was willing to work with us and our insurance making it possible for us to have our treatment completed. Now we just come back for maintenance visits and enjoy having healthy beautiful teeth to eat and smile with. We are forever grateful to Dr.Sushner for saving our teeth and recommend him at the highest level of satisafaction.

gum surgery deep cleaning
non communicative--it bothers him to talk, he just likes to work. Often finds things no other dental person can find, good or bad, who knows ?
spent big dollars, no antibiotics prescribed all though other websites do recommend for gum surgery. It appeared to me to be irritated and stressed for some reason.

My treatment with Dr. Sushner went very well. Both himself and his dental assistants were friendly, helpful, very informative and put me at ease.
The only problem his office has is with his administrative staff. They are extremely rude and unprofessional, going so far as to make nasty comments about other patients in front of other patients.
In addition I was mistakenly billed twice for a procedure and the administrative staff were very defensive about it. I eventually had to speak to the dentist himself about the billing issue to get it resolved.
It is such a shame because Dr. Sushner and his dental hygiene staff are WONDERFUL.

I had a check w/ Dr Sushner and he stayed late to see me (first good mark!). He was then very open and answered every ridiculous question I had. We decided on a "free gingival graft" surgery and I'll have it tomorrow. Ill let you know it it goes!

Osseous Surgery with subepithelian connective tissue graft procedure. Palatel skin graft used this was recommeneded as agressive action vs scaling & root planing

I saw this dentist a few times some while ago. One thing that drove me away is that he can do things without telling you before and after a procedure. When the bill came, you realized that he did not get your permission. Since it was not a big deal, I did not contest it.
