I have lived in San Diego for over 13 years and have never had a dentist as reasonable and considerate than Dr. Luban. I don't dread going to the dentist anymore - I look forward to it. I was able to get my girlfriend in for an appointment after her previous dentist told her she needed over $2500 worth of dental work. Dr. Luban explained to her that this list of work she brought from the other dental office was mostly not needed, and that her teeth were in excellent condition, except for one broken tooth in the back of her mouth. $600 and one crown later, her mouth is fine. Great dentists are hard to come by, and they don't get much better than this.
About Hygienist: His office has the friendliest staff and the most gracious hygienists.

I had a standard cleaning and check up with Dr. Luban. The office was very welcoming and I didn't wait long at all for my appt.! I didn't have any significant work done so I can't comment on that but this experience was definitely better than almost all of my other experiences with dental appointments. Definitely recommend!

As much as I don't really enjoy going to the dentist, I love everything about this practice.((As everyone else wrote, first of all, the practice itself is beautiful and warm, which makes for a very settling position. No sounds of that scary drilling noise!((The staff and Dr. Luban are wonderful - warm, friendly and they know what they are doing.

I have read the other two reviews for Dr Luban's office and can say that I have never had anything but good visits. The staff was always nice and courteous. All too often you will hear of only the negative experiences.
I've visited Dr. Luban for 5 years now and have always had good service. I have never noticed dirty/smelly equipment or saw anything that represented unsanitary conditions. Additionally, I feel that his prices are reasonable and I feel that the staff has never tried to sell me unnecessary procedures. Dr. Luban's staff fitted me for a crown that has peformed flawlessly for the last 4 years. I have recommended Dr. Luban to a number of people.
