Read Reviews for Dr. Kathrine Friedman Hickey
Run of the mill dentist, in/out service. She did not clean up all the plaque on my front teeth, and when i pointed it out to her after the clean-up, she shrugged it off telling me that it wasn't plaque, that that's just the way my teeth are. But it actually was plaque, we patients aren't that stupid, because everytime i've been to a dentist before they've removed it. Also, she did not know I had a decayed tooth until after i pointed it out to her. And this was after she took the x-rays and finished cleaning my teeth!
I've been to several dentists and this is the only negative experience with a dentist that i have had.

Dr. Friedman did take me on after the official dentist transfer date with my managed care health insurance plan, which was very nice of her. She also fit me in at a time that didn't require taking time off from work, which was also very nice. However, I didn't have a great experience overall.
Her facilities seem old and outdated, and the patient rapport on the part of both Dr. Friedman and her staff was poor. They immediately sat me down for X-rays without explaining why. I was then taken to the exam room and she did what seemed like a very quick exam and told me I need four procedures. When I requested that the first procedure, a deep cleaning, be done immediately, I was told that it would be unfair for Dr. Friedman to wait while I called my insurance company to inquire about how much the copay was. Dr. Friedman did do a basic cleaning, but again she seemed very rushed and not extremely thorough. Overall, Dr. Friedman was gruff and did not provide a level of treatment which left me feeling like I could trust her work. Don't expect any sort of luxury experience at this office.

Cleaning was quite painful and not very long. I asked about my jaw popping and was then billed $75 for a TMJ consultation. I thought this was part of an office visit and she never advised me that I would be subject to an additional fee. When I went for my first visit I was told it was a general exam only and that I would have to come back for a cleaning. I was not told this when I called for an appointment and this was an inconvenience.

Not a good experience. She was nice at first, but did a really bad job with a simple cleaning. She literally spent five minutes doing the whole thing. Then I needed to have a filling replaced and had to come back. The entire procedure was botched and she did not know how to diagnose what was happening with me. The second time I came back she didn't remember my appointment or my name. Then treated me very rudely when I asked her questions about my tooth. Now I have to find a new dentist and hope my tooth doesn't fall out in the meantime. Stay away.
