I can only say the best things about Dr Lem. She has been my dentist for more than ten years. (Circumstances forced me to consult a couple of other dentists inbetween and I quickly returned to Dr Lem the moment I was able to). I am so glad I did. She is the best, friendly, knowledgable and caring. Very pleasant and personal atmosphere in the office from front desk to the dentist chair. I never felt she was performing any redundant procedures. I highly recommend this dentist office.

I had to get a root canal and a crown replacement done and Dr. Lem was very pleasant. I did have to come in three times for the root canal because she said it was difficult and I could only come in for one hour appointments at a time. The crown had to be redone so I had to come in two times for that as well. She provided earphones for me so I could listen to music during the procedures which was nice. She is friendly but she doesn't talk the whole time she's working on you which I prefer. My only complaint is that she cleans using the old manual equipment. She says they have more modern equipment but since my tartar build up isn't bad, she doesn't feel it to be necessary. Bottom line: I have been loyal to her for three years but it might be out of force of habit instead of being in love with her services. The office is very accommodating in terms of scheduling and even have Saturday appointments which is very convenient. They are very proficient with billing and working with our insurance.

I saw Dr. Lem for a routine cleaning. She shares the office with her husband, Dr. Yamada. She was very friendly, but her equipment seemed so obsolete, and the general appearance of her office so outdated, that I didn't feel that I was getting a thorough evaluation. For example, she didn't have the tube that squirts water into your mouth or the accompanying suction tube; she kept having me sit up to rinse my mouth from a paper cup and spit into a little sink. She also seemed to overlook teeth that previous dentists have consistenly put watches on for cavities. I can't say that I left the appointment with the usual "dentist-clean" feeling.
