He put on a front crown (that I'm not sure now even need a root canal). Within one week, the crown broke in half. The next one took three months to get the color right. That crown since broke as well--within one year.
The main reason, however, for this review was that his hygienist said I needed deep-cleaning that would cost several hundred dollars that insurance would not pay. When I went to another dentist, the new hygienist said that I didn't need this procedure. I should have trusted my instincts when I was turned-off by the pictures of his lake-house and boat that play as you're waiting to be treated. I guess I know where my money went, because it certainly wasn't on the poor quality crown I received.
About Front Desk: Rude and bad at customer service.

Dr. Borgman's office is located in a strip mall next to a Tejano night club. The front desk staff was friendly and making appointments was not difficult. I really liked his dental hygienist. She was very friendly and informative while doing my teeth cleaning.
Dr. Borgman, however, was not so friendly. He introduced himself before the exam after that I was completely ignored in the chair. He talked to his dental assistant, often stopping to tell stories or laugh at his own jokes. I did not appreciate this.
He had to replace several of my fillings. The experience was rather uncomfortable and the job he did a poor one. My current dentist tried in the most polite way possible to explain that the fillings done by my previous dentist (Dr. Borman) were not done very well. Great considering how much money I spent at his office even with insurance!
Speaking of money. EVERY time I went in for an appointment, his wife, who handles the billing, told me I owed more than I had already paid due to a calculation error on her part. She always presented me with the extra charges AFTER my treatment, when I was usually in pain and slightly out of it due to the numbing medicine.
I would NOT recommend this dentist to anyone.
