When we moved from Miami to Hollywood in 2003, we needed a new dentist. I located Dr. Kelvin Lantigua on Taft Street, close to home, 10 minutes away. Dr. Lantigua had recently started his practice, and right from the start, he and his small staff were courteous, attentive, and provided professional dental care. For the past 14 years, we have watched as Dr. Lantigua’s practice grew and thrived, and his quality of care has never changed. We have found our dentist for our lifetime!

This dental practice is a joke. My insurance all of a sudden stopped covering the dentist my family usually goes to, so I had to go to Dr. Lantigua, whom my insurance assigned to me. After poking around in my mouth for a bit, he said I had gingivitis which requires and extra $150 procedure to dig a little deeper into my gums. I was a little skeptical. I brush at least twice a day and floss daily. Never has my usual dentist ever charged me extra in the twelve years I was with her. First day with this guy and he's already charging me extra. Sketchy. It would've been forgivable if he actually did some special procedure that my usual dentist doesn't do, but no. He spent even less time cleaning my teeth. Traced at my gum line for ten minutes, slapped some paste on for five. I don't trust these people at all and do not recommend them. They looked very relieved once I signed the paper to pay for that 'gingivitis procedure'. Money >> healthcare for these people. He has no compassion. Yes, he asked me how I'm doing and what I do, but I could tell it was only out of formality than out of actual compassion. I told him my mother is an 8 yr cancer survivor and he didn't know how to react. Do not go to him!
About Hygienist: This lady was not at all thorough. Spent two minutes slapping polish on my teeth. It flew everywhere on my face. My old hygienist would spend at least fifteen minutes polishing my teeth, and the polish stayed in my mouth. The x-ray machine she was using was really old. She had me hold it up because the joints are too slippery to hold it in place.
