I came in needing help because my filling (from a different dentist) had come out. Dr. Savant's staff was warm, friendly, and easy to talk to on the phone as well as in the office. Everything was clean and professional. Dr. Savant was friendly, and she helped explain everything in a kind way. She even helped me to schedule everything I needed in the same day! She was also very mindful of what my insurance would cover, and explained my options clearly. I am very happy with my new dentist!

This dentist told me I had several cavities that I did not have. I know because I went for a second opinion, because something in my gut told me I couldn't possibly have 6 cavities. She did fill two of those cavities, and now one of those teeth has a chip that my new dentist detected, and has warned I'll need to fix before it gets decay in the chip. Imagine the havoc that would have resulted if I had proceeded to allow her to fill all of the "cavities"? Also, she pushed for "deep cleaning" but did not explain why it was necessary. The regular cleaning done at her office was not thorough or effective. She did not review my impacted wisdom teeth or really give a full examination of my teeth. I did not feel like my teeth were in good hands, or even cared about. If you can charge it on a credit card, or fork over the bucks, go to a private dentist. Your teeth, and smile, are worth it.
About Hygienist: She didn't really clean my teeth. The cleaning took about 5 minutes and felt like water was just sprayed over my teeth. No mention to me about flossing, or how to take care of my teeth over the years. Felt rushed, very in and out, and ineffective.

She is very professional, has a beautiful new cheerful office corner 40th St and Lex.
Has the most updated machines, good communication via computer software.
Does efficient cleaning, xrays, and reporting to ins. provider.
Cheerful, bright, originally from India. Has friendly and competent staff.
Recommend Dr. Savant for all dental procedures.
She is also providing Invisiline services at a promotional discount. Very reasonable rate.
Do not buy bleaching equipment - very expensive. Best to buy directly from a medical supplies store.

Dr. Savant is attentive and does a good job with overall oral health examinations and gum checks, but has a tendency to push patients to do various procedures that will add cost, such as replace non-decaying silver fillings with porcelain, or having multiple deep cleanings.
