My experience was very poor. During a wisdom tooth extraction, Dr. Sonin ripped the side of my mouth, and broke the filling of another molar. She took no responsibility and blamed me "for leaving my mouth open too long." I was not aware she could complete the procedure otherwise. I was in extreme pain the following day, contacted her, she asked me to come in, did not advise me of charges in advance. I was charged $71 for her to prescribe me vicodin, again not notified in advanced, rather billed one and a half months later. I would not recommend her, she is expensive and dishonest!

I went do Dr. Sonin when I lived in LA. She is the best dentist I ever had!
I am really grateful to her because she saved me two teeth. The teeth were significantly destroyed and looked really bad. I tried a couple of other dentists before her and the only thing they could suggest was extractions and implants: very painful, expensive and with no success guarantee. What made things worse was that I was already missing a tooth next to one of these two. Dr. Sonin carefully examined the teeth and concluded that the crowns are still possible. She sent me to an endodontist first (who did a very good job too fixing my old root canals) and then masterfully did all the work necessary and put the crowns on, and the bridge in place of my missing tooth. So I ended up with having all my teeth again instead of loosing two more. It's been almost 10 years since then and her crowns and the bridge are still fine.
I highly recommend Dr. Sonin as an excellent doctor who is able to make right decisions in non-trivial cases, the decisions that proved to pass the test of time.
