Read Reviews for Dr. Eric Rysner
Eric Rysner is a nice dentist and his staff is decent, but he tends to "upsell" you by offering services that may be unnecessary. He advised me to redo a filling that he thought might have a cavity from looking at a shadow on an x-ray. When I questioned him and asked how he could tell definitively, he became defensive because he couldn't tell definitively. When I told him that I was concerned about the integrity of the tooth and would like to keep an eye on it, he snapped back by saying "you will have a root canal on that tooth soon." Similarly, he suggested that I buy a nightguard from him ($~500 - not covered by insurance) because I was grinding my teeth at night. When I asked him what the symptoms and signs were that made him reach that suggestion, he again became defensive and wasn't able to provide me with a satisfactory response. I have since gone to another dentist and mentioned the grinding and the tooth and question and he disagreed with Eric Rysner.
Again, this is not a personal issue, he seemed like a fine gentleman. I have a tendency to question dentists after having unnecessary procedures in the past. My suggestion is find another provider that is more responsive and sensitive to your concerns.
