Comprehensive orthodontic treatment of patients having only permanent teeth (permanent dentitions).
Removal of a tooth, at least part of which is present and visible in the mouth, protruding through the gingiva. This makes it possible for the tooth to be loosened with a dental tool called an "elevator", and removed with a "forceps". Typically called a "closed extraction," a "simple extraction," or an "elevator and forceps extraction." No surgical access flap is required, and the tooth is not sectioned into pieces to remove it.
Surgical placement of a root-form endosseous ("into the bone") dental implant. Typically these implants are tapered cylinders, and occupy the space where a natural tooth root was removed.
Fabrication of a new upper (maxillary) complete denture for a completely edentulous patient (i.e. one who is missing all of their upper teeth). Typically requires up to five appointments, which are generally included in the price.
Procedure known as 'scaling and root planing', for four or more teeth in a quadrant of the mouth. Scaling and root planing is performed on patients with periodontal attachment loss, inflammation, subgingival calculus deposits, and diseased root cementum. It is considered active therapy, as opposed to being preventive in nature.
Root canal therapy (endodontic treatment) performed on any of the permanent molar teeth. Does not include placement of a final restoration like a filling, crown or onlay.
A filling which includes only one surface of a front (anterior) tooth, and which is composed of tooth-colored composite resin material.
