Read Reviews for Dr. David Chotiner
I just went today for the first time. Really helpful people and it was reasonable. I don't have dental insurance and for a cleaning and x-ray it was $150. Dr. Dave is a nice guy, kind of "bro-ish" for a dentist but I'm sure he's a smart guy. I only spent about 1 minute with the Doc the rest with the hygienist. Its right in little italy and has convenient parking in the garage. They have a all new technology in there and TV's galore. On the plus side the girl at the front counter pretty cute. They have all kinds of smile reconstruction stuff, but to be honest its a bit over kill. I'm used to an old school dentist who just does the nitty gritty. But I'll go back again for sure.

I came to see Dr. Chotiner after 10 years without having seen a dentist. In addition to needing a TON of work, I had financial problems. He worked with me to get everything done, spacing the work out as I could afford it. Every time I went for an appointment I was impressed with the customer service and facility. Every patient has their own TV with head phones. Did I also mention you can also get an appointment the same week you call!? My experience has been wonderful, and I am definitely over my fear of going to the dentist.

A pleasant surprise after not going to the dentist for about 3 years. I was surprised by the level to new technology since my last dental visit. Electronic xrays, ultrasonic cleaning tools, LCD tvs and headphones while you're being cleaned or waiting to see the Doc. I went back because a few of my 4 or so metal fillings were starting to hurt and with good reason. Dr. Chotiner replaced them all with the non-metallic kind which look better and are apparently much better for your teeth. I've only ever had 2 other dentists and I have to say I like Dr. Chotiners technique when he drilled out my fillings and one cavity. It was kind of a pulse method where he'd drill and then lift the drill bit every second or so. The other dentists I had always just held the drill on the tooth. I noticed didn't make my tooth heat up as much which is generally the only discomfort I can remember feeling through the novacane(sp?). As far as cost goes that all depends on your insurance I suppose, it didn't seem to be any more expensive then any other dentist I've been too.

Fast, painless and precise. I feel very comfortable with his expertise and would recommend him to anyone. Facility is state-of-the-art. Staff is the most professional and customer-oriented I have ever experienced at a dentist's office.

I felt he just wanted my money and therefore wanted to do more dental work than I really need. I could not get an honest answer from any member of the staff.

I have only been to this once and my experience was okay. The facility was beautiful, and I loved the tv they had at each patient station. However, as a person who has a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, the office was a little matter-of-fact and unsensitive about how much work I needed to get done. I may go back, but the treatment plan they put together for me was very expensive, so I am going to see if I can find someone a little more friendly and cost-effective first.

The dentist administered anestesia improperly on more than one occation. The crown was also too loose, the wrong color, and he used the wrong metal inside. Charged my insurance improperly. Rushed the work to catch a flight (on two occasions).
