Read Reviews for Dr. John Vartanian
Terrible service, terrible attitude and terrible work. The way I ended at John Vartanian's office was because I threw a dart on the HMO provider list and it landed on him. Appearances are usually deceiving... one should not focus on location or the way an office looks. The reason I was with him for 3 months was because after my visit, I dropped him as my provider and got the hell out of there. He brought up veneers as an option almost right away (in my mid-20s). What a douche.

Very expensive. It is an impressive office and front staff is nice but dr. is not friendly at all and rushes through your exam and makes you feel unimportant.
About Hygienist: Very nice.

My kids and I have been going to Dr. Vartanian for many years. I have referred quite a few of my friends to him as well and all have loved him.
He and his staff couldn't be any more friendly and accommodating! They go out of their way to make you comfortable. Their chair side manner is unprecedented. The front office is always helpful & nice regarding insurance questions, appointments etc
I can not thank them enough for making my family and my dental needs painless!
Sincerely,
Carol Hackworth

I've been going to Vartanian since his early days in Newport, when he was still doing his own cleanings. I was referred to him by a woman who had a complex procedure botched by two other dentists, but Vartanian went in and fixed it like a pro. I had Vartanian replace all of my bottom mercury fillings. I get tons of compliments on my teeth. I recommend everyone to Vartanian. Of the 6 people I've referred, 5 made them their permanent dentist. He is professional, has a great education from NYU, knows his stuff, and is young and handsome--with a lawyer wife to boot.

I am 65 years old; been to alot of dentists. This guy dresses out of Gentlemens Quarterly, but that is it. More show than substance. With a Fashion Island, Newport Beach practice, you can expect an affluent clientele. But why? I guess they are impressed with the nice suits. I am not! Left sharp edges on two separate occasions, and was inept at correcting the problem.
I now see Dr. Dennis Gould--it's like night and day. Dr. Gould cares, and he is extremely competent. No Armani suits or OJ shoes!

Long appointment--just xrays and review of teeth. Recommended lots of work without a lot of explanation.

I've been treated from Dr. Vartinian few years ago. They were helpfull about the insurance. At the front desk they were friendly.
But I wasn't happy about the result at all.
Plus I think he is expensive.
