He is ok. However, after the treatment of one cavity, I have to see him a few times to really fix it. I am just wondering why he can not fix it at the first time or his technique is just so-so.

During the preparation of my tooth, Dr. Brugos claimed he needed minimally file down the opposing tooth on the bottom. While doing this, he broke off one section of the tooth, just vacuumed it up, and never said a word about it.
He had quite a bit of difficulty fitting the temprary crown. As soon as I got home it fell off. The gum surrounding the tooth became inflamed. I went back to him a couple of weeks later, my gum was still inflamed and hurting. He did not replace the temporary cown that had fallen off and claimed he could not see any inflamation.
I returned a couple of weeks later for the permanent crown, but it did not fit properly,( he did not say a word about this fact) But instead of just returning to the lab to be reworked, he made multiple adjustment to it, filing most of the procelain off the crown, leaving a very rough surface, and permanently cemented it into my mouth. It was at this time I realiized the condition of the surface of the crown and I was feeling quite a bit of pressure in the tooth. He agreed to replace it.
Within days, my gum was becoming a deeper red and the opposing tooth was aching.
I returned a couple of weeks later to have the new crown placed, but the ill-fitting crown he placed a couple of weeks prior, was cemented using the wrong type of cement and this dentist could not remove the ill-fitting crown without destroying my prepared tooth, including breaking off a piece of my natural tooth to the gum line.

Dr. Brugos put a crown on my back tooth in November of 2005. It is now March of 2007 and my tooth still hurts and is sensitive to cold. Before Dr. Brugos put this crown on, my tooth was fine. He suggested a crown because the tooth [I had a root canal in 2003] and was supposedly leeking, so I agreed to the crown and my tooth has not be right since. I went back a few weeks later and told Dr. Brugos my tooth and the area around my tooth was very sore and sensitve to cold (it wasn't before the crown was done) Dr. Brugos was impatient, uninterested and told me there was nothing he could do. I left and never went back. I DO NOT recommend this dentist. In my opinion he's all about money, and does not really care about his patience. His lack of caring comes across when something goes wrong as in my case.

I've been a patient of Dr. Brugos since he started his practice here in the 1970s. He and his staff -- many of which have been with him for more than a decade -- have always provided me and my family with excellent service. High-quality procedures, flexible pain mgmt, great insurance support. Hightly recommend. Keeps up with latest technology.

The practice of Dr. Brugos was fair. I was disappointed with getting a different hygenist for every cleaning I went in for. Also, they pressured me to get X-rays more frequently than I was comfortable. On one occasion I contracted a minor infection in my gums after a cleaning, though I am unsure if it was due to anything that was done wrong in the office. I was disappointed though, that when I called to report this, they were relatively unconcerned and had little advice other than gargling salt water. Overall, my experience was average there.

Since moving away, other dentists have commented on how good his fillings are. Also very personable and great hygentists.

Pleasant, caring dentist and staff. No pressure to get extras. Front tooth crown was replaced for a better look and the results are great! Highly recommended for dental work.
