The facility is run down. I had to switch chairs on my first because--unbeknownst to the staff--the hoses were not functioning.
On my second visit, they pushed me to have x-rays done at their facility, even though I wanted to wait for my x-rays to be transferred from my previous dentist. They assured me my insurance would cover it (even showed me a print-out to that effect). It did not. In fact, none of their estimates were correct.
Then, after being stuck multiple high bills, their unprofessional administrative office began hounding me for the money. At first, they agreed to let me pay it off in installments. Then, they wanted it in full.
Dr. Sarraj himself is nice and seems pretty good, but the office is an end-to-end mess. The cheap price is not worth the stress.

I have had many dental issues, and Dr. Sarraj has been very good. My entire family goes there. Dr. Sarraj has done crowns and fillings mostly for me. He also does cosmetic dentistry, and can do braces and implants. His costs have been below average, in my opinion. His treatments have been successful, and his advice has been valuable. You cannot beat this dentist from Boston University.

Overall, I would rate Dr. Sarraj and his office "average." We continue to visit him because my dental plan keeps the costs very low, his office is convenient to our home, and we receive good treatment from him and his staff. Our visits to Dr. Sarraj have mostly been for dental checkups and cleanings. He and the hygienists have always treated my children with great care and gentleness--they've never complained of any pain, even when my son had several baby teeth extracted. The kid gloves came off for my husband and me: once, a hygienist left my mouth uncomfortably sore, and my husband felt quite a bit of pain when Dr. Sarraj replaced a crown on one of his teeth. Office staff takes care of all insurance claims. Sometimes it is difficult to understand and be understood by the receptionist. The office's exterior is not aesthetically pleasing, but the interior is adequate and very clean--for me, a "health spa" atmosphere is unnecessary. The waiting room is much more pleasant now that they play classical music, rather than a loud, local radio station. Although everyone is very cordial, I would feel more loyalty to the office if Dr. Sarraj and his staff took more time to be more personable.
About Hygienist: Most hygienists at Dr. Sarraj's office are gentle. I experienced soreness only after one of my several visits.

Just got a regular cleaning. So as far as that goes, he's fine. No complaints. He picked up after some plaque that the hygienist didn't get.
He's not much of a talker as far as chair-side manner, which is fine by me really, and he said that he's against taking out wisdom teeth, which I have, unless they are posing a problem, which is different from what I've usually heard from dentists (that they should come out).
I've repeatedly tried to call the office to schedule another cleaning and they don't answer their telephone. Maybe they've changed their number, but my insurance provider and the yellow pages have yet to reflect any changed contact details as of today.
