Bedside manner makes a big difference; these folk generally have customer service and sales down to perfection. Except maybe Dr. Lam; met him a couple times and he just doesn't seem to be in the same place as others there. I'm sad to need to tell about this bad experience. With Dr. Stevenson, I had a partial put in, removing a tooth to go ahead and do it right; expensive and time consuming process. Less than 60 days after the partial was placed, one of my teeth cracks under the pressure of the indention bracket of the partial; the portion of tooth saved had no decay on it. I go in to have it looked at and the story from Dr. Lam is it broke due to decay; he was 100% dismissive of my input regarding the pressure of the partial---that thing was tight! I expected his response to be risk management more so than openness to my dental care. What happened in 60 days whereby an x-rayed tooth was fine and then just breaks off? The only change was the placement of the tight partial which lead to the loss of the tooth. Now, another grand or so for a crown. Yes, I am going to followup again with a second opinion dentist and pursue means necessary to remedy this situation; it just sucks and people need to know to separate niceness from solid clinical dental practice.

I've been a patient of Dr. Stephenson's for several years now and have been very pleased with the treatment I receive there. Everyone in the office is extremely pleasant. They offer early morning appointments, which makes it easy to go in before work. I've only good things to say about their service.

I've been seeing Dr. Stephenson for 20+ years now. I now live in Danville but still see him. He's UCSF-trained , very knowledegable & will put you at ease with his sense of humor. If it were easier, my daughter would be seeing him too but had to find someone close in Danville. His staff is great too, very helpful.
