Please beware this dentist’s “$100.00 consultation deposit” trick!
The office only saying he charges $100.00 consultation fee, will refund it if the insurance company paid or let him do the full treatment, but they never mention he is charging total $210.00 for that consultation. So when you don’t want the treatment and even he received $175.00 from the insurance company for that consultation job, he still does not refund the full $100.00 deposited with reasoning that the fee is $210.00 and kept whatever the amount insurance company hadn’t pay.
Use the word “refundable $100.00 deposit” to bait as reasonable fee but never mention the total $210.00 charge.

Endodontic surgery failed. Still painful and inflamed after almost two months.
No suggestions on what to do.
$1000 paid by the Delta Dental and $350 paid by the patient for the surgery.

Front office experience was terrible. The office is run by Dr. Lin's wife, and she thinks she's the queen. Not only was she rude, she barely speaks proper English and is hard to understand. After the surgery, there is no time for me to rest before I was sent out of the door while I was still in pain. I called for some side-effect concern of the drug prescribed by Dr. Lin, yet never got his return call. Billing is also messy. I looked at my insurance report, and there is a 80 dollar difference. I had another surgery done in another office in Santa Monica (Dr. Thomas Rauth), even though it is quite far away from where I live, yet the attention I received, and the service is professional, definitely worth the travel and the time.

Dr. Lin was kind and careful. However, the office manager was very mean. She would scold patient for being 5 min. late. And right after treatment, she would tell you "what can be done is done" and kick you out of the door. It was very unpleasant experience dealing with the lady and I asked my dentist to refer other specialist. What a shame, she dented the whole experience with Dr. Lin's office. Besides, I had serious side effect taking anitibiotics prescribed by Dr. Lin, called the office yet never got a returned phone call by Dr. Lin. I felt as if patient deserved going through hell and they didnt' care.
