The first procedure I had done by Dr. Demetrakopulos was a filling that fell out when I was chewing gum after less than two years of having it. When she put that filling in it was done hastily and it had a sharp edge. Then she determined that I needed a crown on that tooth and once the temporary crown was put on I had a great deal of sensitivity and discomfort. I was told that was normal for a temporary crown. Now that it is permanent, it is still sensitive to hot and cold and I can't chew hard or tough food on it. I would not recommend her.

The best experience ever with a dentist!!!!!!!
My teeth look so natural and healthy!
I had 3 root canals done with no pain, really! She was so quick and efficient. I've had two other root canals done by two different dentists and the experience was nothing compared to Dr. Demetrakopulos! I had them whitened too...very resonable prices and made me feel like I was at a spa not a dentist office...not to mention all the girls were very professional and beautiful too! Very clean office!!!

I always felt that this dentist was trying to sell me proceedures that I did not need. Many times I experienced pain or discomfort and she had trouble getting my mouth numb enough to do the necessary work. I was always made to feel crappy about that, although it was her job to make me, the patient, comfortable and without pain. I am not going back to her and would not recommend her to others.

I really enjoyed Dr. Demetrakopulos as she provided such excellent care professionally and personally. For the first time in my life I felt comfortable going to the dentist. I too recently left the practice she sold as I found those dentists getting too pricy and less service orientated.
Is it true Dr. D opened a new practice in Napa? I'd travel the hour to have her as my dentist again.

Wow... I was just browsing, trying to find her new office (she sold SF office) and was surprised to see the previous entry. I was a patient there for roughly 7 years and had the best dental care and service ever! I love Dr. D-- her chairside manner and willingness to take time and explain things to me finally eased my lifelong fear of the dentist.True-- it was very pricey, but I felt that I had the best care and at least costs/insurance were explained to me before I had work done (not true of other offices I've been to). Anyway, I don't care for the new doctors that purchased the practice or thier staff, but I hear Dr. D opened an office in Yountville and will do my best ti find her. I highly recommend her!

My girlfriend and I left her because of constant upselling. Question the need for constant scaling and root planing. Went to Thomas Jacobs. Much happier with him. He gives options, doesn't use guilt.
