Read Reviews for Dr. Barbara Farishian
I do not recommend Dr Farishian to anyone. Thanks to her, I now suffer dental office anxiety. Farishian practiced what she termed "deep cleanings" which involved intensive scraping, including below the gum lines, which always left me spitting blood like a boxer losing a fight. The nerve pain I experienced in her chair left me with anxiety at the dentist, even to this day, and despite seeing very good, very gentle dentists since then.
I eventually had some billing concerns and requested to speak to her on the phone but was told I'd have to make an appointment to come in to speak to her. I told the receptionist that I didn't want to pay for a visit just to discuss billing discrepancies but was assured it would be a free consultation visit only.
After talking to Farishian for 10-15 minutes and coming to an agreement, I left thinking all was good. A month later I got a bill for $270 for the "free consultation". I called the office asking to speak to Farishian and was again told I'd have to make an appointment to refute the charge! I refused t opay so she sent it to a collection agency. I called them to contest it and they dropped the collection, telling me they were seeing a lot of this from her. What does that say about her?!?!?
About Front Desk: The staff was always friendly and professional. This was 15 or so years ago, so I doubt any of them are still with Farishian now.

About Hygienist: I never saw one. It was always Farishian, except once when her husband performed a cleaning because she was late getting to the office.

Dr. Farishian is very kind, as is a perfectionist. The clinic is small, but seems adequate. However, the waiting period to see her would often pass 45 minutes just to get into a room, then an additional 20 minutes (I have finished watching a couple of sitcoms on her television), sometimes resulting in one of her assistants telling me that she is no longer available. (The last excuse was that she needed to go home to finish charity work for children - very noble, but not very professional to send her patients home.)
The main problem was billing. After discussing with her about general pricing, the bill would be much higher, as there were additional charges when there shouldn't have been. The receptionist said that I would have to clear that with the Doctor, but she was always "so busy" that she never got around to it. After weeks of discrepancies on several bills where it seemed she should owe me $300 (everything was prepaid), and later claimed that I owed her more, we decided to settle. However, in the end, I believe she still owed me over $200.
Even though her skills as a dentist may be good, between the wait time and billing issues, both a colleague and I decided to never use her again.

When I was a little girl my permanent teeth that had come in were so crowded. I've never had to get braces. Dr. Farishian straightened out my teeth beautifully. Everyone, even perfect strangers come up to me and tell me what a beautiful smile i have. I have full confidence in Dr. Farishian. She really takes care of her patients.
