Read Reviews for Dr. Amanda Eder
I came in to see "Dr" Eder because of a toothache. She told me I had a small cavity and that I needed an inlay. She explained what an inlay was and also told me I had paradentosis and needed a deep cleaning. The next thing I know, she grinded my tooth into a cone and gave my a temporary crown. I got a cleaning for which she charged me $275 and told me I needed that deep cleaning, costing around $1,800 and around 13-15 antibiotics for in between my teeth, at around $60 per antibiotic. I was told to come by in a week for my final- I guess crown.
I had no idea I was getting a crown - it was supposed to be an inlay (a filling was "not good enough"). When I asked why the crown, she said she felt it was better than the inlay.
Now I have a hole where the crown is, and food gets constantly stuck in there and the tooth has been sensitive ever since.
As far as the paradentosis goes, I took a second opinion before my mouth got butchered by a technician for another $2,000+-. Turned out all I needed was a tooth cleaning (I was 30 at the time, with good dental hygene). As far as the crown goes, the second opinion was to first try the filling, if that did not work, a crown can always be done later
My worst dentist experience ever.
