I had the most amazing experience this morning at Dr. Brian Hall’s practice.
Dr. Shah, his associate, did a complete cap for a damaged molar in 2 hours start to finish. After drilling down the existing damaged tooth, she took pictures of all the surfaces abutting the tooth to design the tooth to fit in with the other teeth. This info was fed into a computer in which she designed the tooth and then it directed a machine how to grind down a hard ceramic cube into the cap that would fit perfectly on my existing tooth. After making sure it fit correctly, the cap was coated with porcelain which was colored to match my other teeth, and baked on. Then it was secured on to my existing tooth. All done. I’d never seen this technology before but what a great experience.
