Performs unnecessary root canals! If you go to him, I guarantee he will say you need a root canal. Beware!

I an in my 40's and have visited several dentists in my lifetime. I had to write this review because I had a great experience when Dr Shoha performed my root canal in his Canton, MI office I was very stressed about the procedure (my first root canal) and he put me at ease. He has great "bed side" manners, and he took his time and did an excellent job. His office was super clean and he had "top of the line" equipment. His staff was also extremely friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Ronald Shoha.

Dr. Shoha is wonderful--he has twice performed work that other endodontists dismissed as "too complicated". He is friendly, articulate and professional. I have and will continue to recommend him to others. Note that I drive over 45 minutes from Royal Oak to Canton for his endodontic services.

Dr. Ronald Shoha is a very caring dentist.
His work is excellent and he explains the procedure to you and you can ask questions. He does not rush you.
He is very available also. Office staff is very pleasant and

Dr. Shoha is a talented dentist, but he did not treat my pain well or listen to my concerns. I asked for Nitrous, they gave me the mask, but i never felt the effects of the gas. I kept asking them to turn it up but they told me it was already up high. I had nitrous 2 days before in my normal dentist's office and I was totally comfortable so I know what nitrous feels like. Also I was not entirely numb from the lidocaine, which we found out when the Dr. started to remove the roots from my tooth. OUCH. After the procedure, I told him that I had been taking Advil for the pain and that it wasn't working. I asked for a small script of torodol because I had it when I had my wisdom teeth removed 2 years earlier and I know it works. He wouldn't give it to me, instead he gave me a script for Motrin 600mg which is the same as 3 advil, which i had been taking and already told him didn't work.
Overall he is thorough and efficient but is almost afraid of giving anybody a real painkiller. Don't go if you are having lots of pain because he won't treat it.
