I've been coming to this office for more than 10 years now and I've never been happier with a doctor's office. Before coming to Dr Kidonakis I went to an overpriced, mediocre dentist in downtown chicago who'd charge crazy prices to pay for his high rise office's rent. It seemed like everything this guy would do failed within a year or so. He'd always blame it on me, saying I must've bit into something too hard or I'm not brushing right. I'd pay for the redos again and again. When Dr. Kidonakis does something, it sticks.
She bonded the space between my two front teeth about 10 years ago and it's still holding. 2 dentists prior have attempted this feat and both failed within 6 months.
She's done fillings and root canals which are still holding like new, years later. She's great about explaining what's going on and educating me about all my options before I make a decision.
Her office is sparkling clean and her staff is very friendly.
Highly recommend this office.

Great with kids!!! My kids are scared to death of needles and doctors. If they need anesthesia, Dr. kidonakis gives them their shot in such a discreet manner, that I don't even think they know they've gotten a shot. Cleanings are thorough and no complaints from the kids. They're also good about teaching the kids how to brush and floss correctly. She has a "goodies" basket with various little kid prizes and they love it. As we're leaving, they ask when we can come back to get some of the other prizes. They hate going to the pediatrician because the nurses basically stab them with the immunization needles. This office makes dental visits stress free.

started going to this practice years ago, seeing as it was very local for me work wise, etc. Although like other reviewers have mentioned about great location and nice office, blah blah blah......this dentist is very money hungry! Like I was saying going to her for years and literally I can recall my first visit paying out of pocket $900 dollars, they are not flexible on payment plans or anything. I think at the time I had to beg to have it broken up in payments. And if you are wondering what procedure I had done, IT WAS AN UNNECESSARY ONE! A deep cleaning, which I DIDN'T need but she has this funny way of convincing you or making you feel guilty in order to have you go through w/the procedure. After now leaving this practice my current dentist has made me aware that my gums and teeth did not need this harsh procedure done. After this mess she had me on a "preventative plan" meaning, having to come every 4 months rather than 6 month's why you ask? Something about to monitor my teeth and mouth health! Again, a bunch of bull to get the insurance company payments and mine to rack up as they only cover 2 cleanings a year. I stopped this quick.
So time passes, I get married, bring my hubby into the practice for cleaning, etc. She ends up taking X-rays on his visit. Insurance bill gets submitted and life was okay. Then she happens to get "new machinery" in the office, well his next visit she is demanding that he take MORE. The same damn picture's because she knows the newer equipment will not be covered by the insurance and we will have to pay out of pocket. He refused and so the same day she tells him that they need to do some cleaning or something (I'm not a dentist, so I don't know all the procedures done) well she used some type of product that again, his insurance wouldn't cover! And so weeks later he gets slapped with a bill over a hundred dollars! And if you are thinking she doesn't know a patients insurance benefits, SHE and her STAFF DO! They don't allow you to make payments, they demand their share upfront rather than bill you after they submit the claim! All in all, we finally left this practice and will never recommend this dentist to anyone moving forward. Money HUNGRY is not even close to how she conducts business! Save yourself the drive, the time and more importantly, the money. Find a trustworthy and honest dentist...there are so many.
About Front Desk: The staff was always very helpful in all my visit, although the doctor spoke to them like they were children. Very belittling and bossy! Not right and it was a pain witnessing it on my visits.

I was referred to Dr. Kidonakis from someone in my office who just raved about her; now, pretty much our entire office goes to her for their dental work! I personally referred my mom as well. What I particularly liked about her was that she always looked for the most efficient treatment that would be best for my health (rather than insisting on expensive treatments) and if I asked for an expensive treatment, she'd try to steer me toward less expensive but equally effective treatments. Also, she preferred to save my teeth that do expensive implants or just have the teeth pulled. She's also super sweet, makes you feel very at ease, and I just think she's the bees knees! I'm approaching the age of 50 now and so I'm needing a bunch of dental work. And finally, she does everything in her power to work with my dental insurance and flex spending to make my visit as cheap as she could. :)
About Hygienist: Their entire staff is really nice. I felt very comfortable there. :)

Outstanding Dentist! Their beside manner (chairside) is top notch. Dr. Kidonakis really knows what she is talking about and is able to explain this to her patients in a easy to understand manner.
No one looks forward to going to the dentist, but going to her office is usually pain free!
