To say I’m furious about this is an understatement. After countless unreturned calls and letters sent via certified mail proving that I have them, they sent me to collections.
Why you may ask? They try to bill, in full, at time of service (which they now, all of a sudden have a sign for, in "fine print" font), and then collect the out-of-network insurance payment after the fact so they can “double-dip” and get more money than is deserved.
After sending them the insurance records showing, in fact, they double-dipped, that was not enough and they still didn't offer any sort of refund or call back.
They did the same thing to my partner where they tried to collect up front and he confronted them about my incidents and they backed down and said they'd bill the insurance first. Apparently, during this time, someone out front overheard this fiasco and walked out. You know what I say to that "soon-to-be patient?" Good for you before getting hackled like a used car salesman.
Oh, and they say they take insurance, but beware: They're out-of-network for everyone!

I'd been going to (what I thought was) an exceptional dentist in Naperville for years, even though I'd moved to the city. Had an emergency several years ago, and found Dr. Matsumoto through 1-800-dentist. Turns out he's even better than my previous dentist (and I'm very picky about my teeth). Did a wonderful job on my porcelain veneers. I've recommended him to a friend who also needed some emergency treatment. She said it was the best treatment she's ever received, and now he's her dentist, too. Very nice support staff, too.
About Hygienist: I've been going to Joan for my biannual cleaning/checkup for years now. She only works Saturdays now, so that makes it a little more difficult to get an appointment, but it's worth it for me.

Dr. Matsumoto is very competent as is his staff. My visits have by far been the most relaxing visits I have had to a dentists office. The explanations of what the doctor thought appropriate courses of treatment were thorough but they were long and would be costly. Some of what was said contradicted two other assessments from a dentist and an oral surgeon. Dr. M did say that all dentistry is opinion based on circumstance and the opinion of the dentist and then cost, etc. for the patient. The office is well equipped with modern technology. I felt the opinion offered was valid but not all of the treament, including orthodontics, was absolutely necessary. I was comfortable with the suggestions, especially given that I was told it was his professional opinion that the diagnosis and treatment would serve best but that there were other ways to acheive like results.
