I would highly recommend Dr. Aiken. I don't understand the negative reviews at all. He is prompt, attentive, informative, gentle, does excellent work, and I trust him.

Did some drilling, filling, and cleaning. I'm sure there are worse dentist out there. I just haven't found them yet. His work in comparrison to others was always more painful and never felt as good.
The front desk was below average. Customer skills are definitely not something that gets much attention at most places these days and the front desk here is no exception. I wouldn't call them rude. Apathetic would probably describe them better.
Billing can be a nightmare. Sometimes there's no problem at all and then others a letter from a collection agency can show up in your mailbox for something they never called you about or even mentioned on other visits. You'd think that if your spouse was at the dentist office they'd mention to them there is an amount owed before they called a collection agency or at least call your house and leave a message. Especially if they can call and verify appointments.
I would not recommend this dentist.

He is the best dentist I have ever seen. Having lived in Manhattan and Philadelphia and now Baltimore, I have seen many different excellent dentists. But he is the most skilled and compassionate.

It is a pain trying to get an appt. with this dentist. Every time I would call they would tell me to call the 1st day of the next month. This place is suspect, because every time I'd call it was the wrong time. I have never in my life heard of dentist who was so successful, he couldn't take appts. I believe they were just receiving money from the insurance company, and not living up to there side of the bargain.

Dr. Aiken has been my dentist for years and I've always been happy with his work. He explains everything thoroughly and is patient and polite. I would recommend Dr. Aiken to anyone seeking a dentist in the Baltimore area.

Dr. Aiken has been treating my family for over 20 years and we love him. Each time our insurance changes and we are intermittently forced to go elsewhere, we realize how great his work is and come back as soon as soon as our insurance allows . He is super fast, painless, and his work holds up - just simply put - he knows what he is doing. The specialists he refers us to are all incredible as well. My older son is grown now, and lives out of state, but continues to lament that he can't see Dr. Aiken. My younger son, who lives out of state also, still drives back from New York City to see Dr. Aiken and pays directly, even though he is covered for a NYC dentist. The office staff is efficient, available and willing to squeeze you in in case of an emergency. You won't go wrong with Dr. Aiken.
