Read Reviews for Dr. Allen Schuster
I had come back for a 2nd visit for root canal and I nicely reminded Dr. Schuster that I am very hard to deaden. He looked at me with such fierceness and proceeded to inject the med very quickly, which gave me much pain. He threw the syringe on the tray and turned around and stalked out. I said to the dental assistant, "Is that supposed to hurt like that?" To which she had no reply. The horrible little man proceeded with the root canal. He dug and dug into my tooth and kept digging. I suddenly had a horrible stabbing pain and came up out of the chair. He told me to lay back down so he could finish. He continued to dig and dig and dig. He couldn't read the x-ray properly and continued digging. He wanted me to come back for a 3rd visit to "finish" the procedure. No Way! I called my insurance company to find out what my recourse was. They informed me that his office had billed for a completed procedure even though he had not finished. A friend recommended her dentist who x-rayed the tooth and found the rubber filler used to fill the tooth during root canal was down into the bone of of my jaw! I eventually lost that tooth. I'd rather go to a vet to have a tooth pulled than to see that deranged Marathon Man psychopath!

I went in needing three root canals. The staff was great. they got me in right away. Dr. Schuster and his team all seemed very concerned for my comfort. Super friendly, whenever I went in, I was always greeted by name. All cost involved were explained and charges were spread out so I didn't have to pay a big chunk at once. The phone was always answered by a real person. The office was very clean, well decorated and stocked with interesting reading materials, cups and mouth rinse in restroom etc. I very highly recommend Dr. Schuster.

I was very apprehensive about my first root canal. He was recommended by my dentist because he took my insurance. With my 25% discount, the molar root canal cost 1200. He did it in 2 separate visits. Both visits were extremely fast and pain free. If I had to have another root canal, I would pay the extra money to see Dr. Schuster. I was very surprised at how quick he was. He definitely knows what he's doing.

Worst pain I have ever felt. Refuse to return to finish the root canal. Poor enviroment. Very unfriendly and untrustworthy.

I had an Apicoectomy. Normally I am a very nervous dental patient and this time did not insist on any mediation other than the anesthetic so it was quite a nerve racking procedure. However, it went well with no pain and almost 0 post procedure pain so I couldn't be more pleased.

I went to see Dr. Schuster after having a root canal failure that was done by another dentist about 3 months ago. Dr. Schuster looked at it on xray and sent his assistant in to tell me it was a "complete redo". I was floored because this meant ANOTHER root canal . But, I trusted his judgement since he is a specialist.
At the 2nd appt., it was a difficult ordeal and he told me it almost came down to surgery . I went home, encountered swelling in my face and a lot of pain over the weekend. I called his office on a Sat., his asst. called back immediately and got me on antibiotics and said to come in on Mon. if the swelling wasn't gone.It wasn't so I went in today and was told this 2nd root canal was unsuccessful, and now I need surgery.
I am now going to bypass that and have the tooth pulled after all this. I think Dr. Schuster is a very capable Dr., despite all this, but he needs to have a little more compassion for his patients. He seemed in a hurry, and uncaring. This was after all a traumatic situation and a little overwhelming. I don't need a total hand holding ordeal but a smile and a few kind words would have gone a long way. I do however appreciate how quickly he responded to the emergency call and got me right in

I was very very nervous about getting a root canal untill I found Dr. Schuster. The first thing that suprised me was the fact that I only waited for about 5 mins. ( and I was a new patient) before I saw the doctor and it only got better from there. Dr. Schuster and his staff ( including front desk and his assistance ) made it a very good experiance. His staff was friendly and very good at explaining the procedure that was going to be occuring. He made me feel like I was an old friend that he was excited to see. He also made me feel as comfortable as possiable and maybe the best thing was that I thought i was going to be spending twice as much as I actually did. It was a great experiance and I would reccomend him to anyone.
