Hello All,
I live in the east coast but come to Seattle frequently , a couple of years ago I had lots of Pain in a back molar.
That is when I met Dr. Mandel, he made a root canal that was flawless, no pain, no side effects, no next day sensitivity , nothing.
After that experience I waited two years to come back to the Seattle area to take care of another tooth, I had my treatment done 3 days ago, ( March 2, 2010)
He took 2 hours to kill the molar, 4 roots, watching constantly that I was ok, and checking with state of the art equipment that the roots were not cracked.
I have only great things to say about the experience again, no pain , no problems in the recovery time, no inflammation, nothing.
The staff and the Place are wonderful, and I will recommend this Dr. to everybody that needs a Root canal or a second opinion.

My dentist sent me to Dr. Mandel and I expected excellent service from her recommendation. After working on one tooth, the tooth next to it, which had not been hurting previously, exploded in pain that night. When I went back the next day, both the dentist and his staff seemed more concerned with establishing that they're not responsible for my problem than in solving it.

I was dreading having a root canal, and it was over quickly and generally pain free. Of course I was on Halycion. :-) It's one of the best dental experiences I've had.

This was a wonderful experience for me. I was in complete crisis with disabling pain and an undiscoverable cause - he was gentle, funny, nice. Although I didn't have dental insurance at the time, he accepted cash in advance and merely charged me for the root canal. It has been 29 years since then and I am still chewing on the crown that was in place (he did not cause it to crack as they predicted within one year). He is very precise and had tv in the ceiling to watch and earphones with music. He even explained for me with pictures what on earth was going on with the maxillary molar and how it created a stoma in my throat and damaged my sinuses. Even though it was dental malpractice that caused the problems for me, he did not shy away from it because it was so clear from my records. Very courageous and ethical in my opinion (dentists hang together). So, I have the highest opinion of him and just recommended him to someone which is why I found this website.
