Read Reviews for Dr. Daniel Barry
dr. barry has been my dentist for over ten years and i actually look forward to my appointments. he is not a high pressure sales type--he is just a very ethical and highly skilled dentist. there are so many dentists trying to push treatment plans and make $$$$, but dr. barry is actually on the lower end cost-wise of the dentists i have been to. a great dentist and really super person. my experiences with dr. barry have been extremely positive.

Dr. Barry did a great job with helping me relax during dental procedures, which I really appreciated. However, when I needed a lot of dental work, he was less than forthcoming about the cost that would be entailed and wasn't willing to discuss what was the highest priority to be done first, even though doing everything just wasn't economically feasible. It's affected my confidence in his advice -- I can't be sure that some of his advice isn't monetarily motivated. This is a shame, because overall, the work is of high quality.

Dr. Barry is an outstanding person and great person to talk with. His staff is first class and for general dentistry, I highly recommend him. However, there were (in my mind, and I'm not a physician, I'm an Engineer) some exhorbitant costs when I had insurance--it seemed every 6 month visit revealed some serious problem; multiple root canals, extractions, etc. As soon as I was paying out of pocket, no more problems were found with the exception of an implant that had to be redone twice, which caused me to lose some quality of life and hurt my dental appearance. Other than that, he is one of the kindest and wittiest doctors out there! And you can be sure that the work he does (besides the outsourced implants) is above average.

Good dentist. Nice guy. A little manipulative in setting you up for what is usually an exorbitant bill, but he's more or less worth it. Interesting guy.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Barry for years! I admit, I tried switching to a dentist next door to my office (for convenience), but after a while I missed Dr. Barry's friendliness so much, I'll never stray again.

Dr. Barry's work is professional, but he wasn't communicative about what procedure he was choosing, why, etc.
Getting answers to these basic questions, so I could participate in the choices, was like pulling teeth, so to speak. He's friendly, but he spends more time chatting than explaining the work he's doing. The desk staff, though friendly, has been consistently slow about returning my calls about setting appointments, insurances questions, etc.

Dr. Dan has responded to my need for a crown without delay, and prodded me without fail about overall follow-up care I needed, with an excellent referral. Some of the hygienists are better than others. He recommends a treatment plan in accordance with the client's dental care needs, perhaps not their financial resources. There seemed to be some front office staff changes over the summer; perhaps filling in for vacations/illness.

Dr. Daniel Barry is very informative, sensitive to pain management, and adept.
However, he's also a perfectionist, without regard to cost or insurance company policy.
On two separate occasions, Dr. Barry performed an ADDITIONAL x-ray on my teeth before starting my fillings -- even though he had x-rays of the teeth in hand.
These x-rays were not covered by my insurance company, and since they were extra, cost me $150 each!
His staff, while efficient, is cold and perfunctory, at best.

Both my wife and I use Dr. Barry. He's great, with a very good demeanor and fun to talk to (while your mouth is generally full of course). I chipped my front tooth when a box fell on my face during moving, and he fixed it right away. Looks totally natural. The only downside is you have to know your insurance as they will sometime recommend procedures or a visit frequency without knowing if your insurance will pick it up - I got hit twice in this situation.
