About Hygienist: Every hygenist I've seen there has been great. They do a great job without pain and are very considerate and personable.

I know this doctor: 35 years. Long before he was a dentist.

His staff, with their expanded function diplomas, do most of his work for him. If you have a problem, like I did, after a procedure, after office hours, don't expect a return phone call. It is a 618 number, which I believe is in Illinois. It goes to a woman's voicemail, probably one of his expanded function people, and neither she nor Dr. Hurtte returned my call. I went to see an endodontist who saved my tooth. His office is hectic and amateurish.

Dr. Hurtte did a grat deal of dental work on me including two root canals. Both of these root canals failed and I was left to go to an endodontist (with no recommendation from him). I had a bad infection (that Hurtte did not recognize) and when I called him, he did not return my calls. All of this caused me to spend a great deal of time and money getting these things corrected. I will never go back to him and have a new dentist that I would recommend (Dr. Edward Logan).

Dr. Hurtte did a bridge in the front of my mouth and the results were excellent!! He also did a bridge for my wife - her results were as good or better than mine. The entire staff at his office is very professional, but also friendly and very aware or the anxiety a patient feels. I have watched small children go into his office and come out laughing and smiling - I know he does a lot of work with the elderly in nursing homes too....all of his staff have a gentle touch and great chairside manners I would (and have) recommended him to others.
