I had a consultation -- which was FREE -- to discuss a dental condition and the work needed to correct it. Dr. Van Stralen took close to 30 minutes with me, telling me in acute detail what he thought the problem was and what treatment would and MIGHT be necessary. He declined to answer a few of my questions saying he didn't want to misinform me since he didn't have a good history on me, which I found interesting and highly responsible. He seems well informed and sensitive and interested in his patients' welfare, not just their cash flow. The only downside to his practice is that he doesn't participate in most insurance plans, so fees for dental work can be prohibitively expensive.
