Read Reviews for Dr. Thomas Matteson
Initially, was happy I could get in quickly. He said I should have some old fillings replaced though no pain at that time, but his work caused lasting pain, for months. Communications not good. His office said they were part of my insurance plan but when I got my first bill six months after family's treatments began, I discovered they were not and there was a BIG bill. If you decide to see Dr. Matteson, be sure to ask a lot of questions about materials being used, procedures, and costs BEFORE work begins! I believe they have questionable billing practices. I was charged (though never asked about my preference) for more expensive resin fillings in several back molars, yet these teeth have silver-looking fillings.
About Hygienist: Hygienists (even trainees) were great-- friendly, gentle, good communicators. One was in training from local college, but had a supervisor watching. They always did a good job on all of our family.

chair side manner is good, he has been excellent in caring for my child who is frightened of many dental procedures. Some billing issues but that is staffing problem. Hygienist is excellent!!!!

I had good impression about the office and used it for years until a couple years ago. The new hygienist, though did a good work, had no respect to patient's intelligence. I was billed for different procedures without ever explained to in advance, and the last time she told me that she would charge me in certain way for my advantage, and after I found out what she said was false, she refused to correct and billed me with high charge anyway.
I am very disappointed with such behavior.
