She sent me for root canals on most of my teeth ( to her endodontist colleague). Each one became infected and I lost the teeth. Certainly wish I never went there.

She is nice, and in the end does decent work, but too many hassles for me. She left a sharp, annoying piece of cement sticking out of a crown -- that needed a return visit to remove. (After that, though, the crown did fit nicely.) She insisted I would not need a root canal on the tooth with the crown, and then I did. Her office (different location than where she is now) charged me a lot more than my insurance allows, and gave me a big hassle before fixing it. Also, when I complained of problems, she frequently told me to brush with Sensodyne. This did make the problems SEEM better for a while, and I think she does this to try to save you money, but ultimately the problems became worse and more expensive to fix.

I have been going to Dr. Filipova since 1994 at her old practice on Central Park South. My only request everytime I visited her office was that she was there. She has always done a phenomenal job, expecially with Crowns/Posts on two of my front teeth that she matched up perfectly (size, shape, color) with my other teeth. When I called to set an appointment at her old office, they told me she was no longer there and would not tell me where she went. Now I see she opened her own practice and will gladly visit her there.

Dr. Filipova did a cleaning and checkup last March that were thorough and painless--and bloodless. That's a first. She's very gentle and takes a conservative approach to treatment--not eager to do unnecessary work.

Dr. Filipova ( now Dr. Philips) has moved to her own practice on Madison Ave between 52 and 53 st, 21st floor,, 212-753-3273. As a CUNY faculty member I am happy to say that she takes the Union's insurance. She has been my dentist for about ten years. She is competent and has a lovely bed side manner. The staff in front office in her new location are totally gracious, unlike the staff in her prior location. Her new office has up to date technoloigy, and is bright and clean. I recommend her highly.

She gave me a crown that didn't fit, and caused me weeks of pain a nd suffering. I had to have it pulled off and went to another dentist. She is incompetent.

She's very nice, goes too fast. have had constant pain for weeks after she put on my crown
